Carrickmore still waiting on Errigal for the league semi final. The Clarkes will be waiting another while yet.

Hope you enjoyed getting the medal at half time.

Do you want the medal? No space in any of my pockets for any more.
If you have a cub give it to him. By my counting the only holder of a county medal from the next generation from the great Carmen team is a trillick man. Are the current generation of Carrickmore players the biggest flops present at the minute considering their father's achievements before them? Or is the pressure to much to bare for them? Should Carrickmore maybe have been focusing on gifting sites to former players like Red Daly rather than blow ins like Penrose and dinky to try and win the elusive county title?

Close to the bone but harsh facts.

Will beat both comfortably

Yes given Tyrone club teams excellent record with winter football they're guaranteed to cruise through 🙄

Ask Glen how handy they got it against the Antrim and Donegal Champions!

Killesshel beaten by 4 points today. Anyone get to see it? Looked to be well in it for the majority of the game

Killeeshil were 0-5 to 0-4 up at h/t and 0-7 to 0-5 ahead with about 12 mins left and looked to be in control but they let Craigbane back into the game after that. Craigbane got their goal in injury time after a Killeeshil attack looking for the equaliser had broken down and Craigbane counter attacked and it was 3 v 1 with the Craigbane forward just about getting enough power on his shot to get it over the line.
The Killeeshil keeper then got a straight red for taking a swipe at the goalscorer I think it was.
Overall Killeeshil will be disappointed with how the last 10 mins went and will feel it was one that got away.
Overall wasn't that impressed by Craigbane and think that Aghaloo would have won that game by 4 or 5 points.

Is it? Killeeshil won the Tyrone Final with a smash and grab as Aghaloo were the better team. Craigbane a bit fortunate imo that it was Killeeshil that came out of Tyrone and not Aghaloo.

Yeah, very random indeed.

A team who were beat, should be in Ulster knock-out and should beat the team who beat the team who beat them...if you know what I mean!

As Cody said the only time the scoreboard matters is when the referee blows the final whistle.

Next thing you Tyrone ones will be saying is that a Tyrone team who got knocked out in a quarter-final would win Ulster.

Definitely a random take. Aghaloo blew it by messing about. They were beat because they blew it. Craigbane have played a lot better than they did today. They did what they had to do. If Craigbane had played the way they can they may have beat Aghaloo by 4 or 5. The thing is we will never know because Aghaloo weren't there today.

Close to the bone but harsh facts.

Jealousy is an awful thing.

Carrickmore has been a top 4 team in Tyrone this past 4-5 years and their average age for their championship starting team was 24 so certainly not flops. I'd say about 90 % of the team has won several Grade 1 County Titles at Minor and U21 level too. At least 18 current players on panel has had some experience of playing with Tyrone seniors, Tyrone u20s or Tyrone minors also.

Going in the right direction with Noel Slane etc. Jonny Munroe, Jack McCallan, Ruairi Slane, Sean Loughran all missed championship this year due to injuries + being abroad. All big players. Will they all be available next year? Be some boost.

Got to a championship final in 2022 and won the league in 2021, not that winning the league is that important. 2023 was probably the worst result in Carrickmore's history vs Edendork but they've definitely bounced back to a certain degree this year.

What are you mentioning youth success for? You are on record saying that youth success guarantees nothing in relation to other clubs so why does it matter positively to Carmen.
Every team has men injured and men working overseas - every team.
Carmen are short a few men, the reality is that the best 2 teams in the county have played in the last 2 county finals and are the best by a distance.
Finally, heart broken to hear the news about Jody Gormley - a great fella who was obviously a great manager.

Jimbop

Aghaloo a good win today as expected with pressure off. Question is which of Glenelly or Cookstown will they end up bottling it again.
Clearly a good team but lacking in the stones department.

Can't think of any top teams in Tyrone who had big names missing for their championship games. Carrickmore had at least 4-5 players. When I said youth success doesn't guarantee senior success, I meant it in relation to teams with no tradition like Donaghmore who have always been soft.

Agree that Errigal and Trillick have been the standard for the last few years but Carmen have a lot to be positive about.

I said 'Top Teams' and you named Fianna players that are now in Division 2 including Hampsey & Quinn, who both actually played in their only championship match.

So in total, that's one killyclogher player out of all the top teams that missed their club's championship due to being abroad / injured. Oh yes, and that one player actually made huge contributions vs Omagh & Errigal in their championship campaign scoring 2 late goals.

If one star player can do that for their club only playing a few mins then imagine what Carmen could have done if they didn't have 5 star player starters missing. All 5 key players too.

Really sad news coming out of Trillick. Football just a game at the end of the day puts everything into perspective
