stewartstown 1-11 brackaville 0-7

Score line probably flattered Stewartstown in the end with youse pegging on a few in the dying minutes. Goal obviously changed the game. I think it's fair to say had Brackaville gotten the platform mulgrew gave stewartstown then the score may have been different. Though in fairness stewartstown deserved it over the 60mins.

brackaville had 2 good goal chances. if either one went in - it would have changed everything.

Wasnt a great game of football.

Id fancy Urney now to push on and win the championship.

The 3 sides on the other side of the draw will all fancy their chances of beating Urney, Strabane would love to get them in the final.

I seen nothing from the Strabane & Eskra game friday night that would change my mind it was like two Division Three teams so many chances Created and no end product from either set of forwards. can somebody tell me the idea of Eskra having one man forward line yet and all They never kicked a ball into him all night.very strange??Eskra are the more mobile of the two sides and seem very fit but frustrating to watch, nose bleeds when they get into the other half.
Rock v Urney Final.

Am I the only one here excited about the senior championship semifinals.  I cant remember a serious Errigal V Clonoe game in recent past so thats hard to call.  Both fantastic teams with serious pedigree on board but Errigal look the part this year.  Different test for them.  Ill give them the vote but have never backed against Clonoe in my life.  Serious talent on show on both sides.
As for Moy V Carmen, Carmen didnt get the record they have at championship taking teams lightly so unluckily for Moy they will give them full respect and a mighty challenge.  However Sean Cavanagh has been the best footballer in Ireland this year and whilst Im disappointed Philly Jordan isnt there its a credit to Moy who have performed highly without him.  Can Moy perform under the scrutiny and pressure that Carmen will put to them.  That is the question.  Ill give Carmen the nod as Ive great respect for their ability to meet the challenge but who knows?
What odds a Moy V Clonoe County final played at the Dork.

Odds would be big. Clonoe could get through but can't see Moy getting past a determined Carmen team.

Anytime I've seen or heard about Moortown over the recent years about how good they are etc. but they seem to be perennial chokers whenever they've a favourite tag stuck on them.their 2 championship games this year (Aghyaran shouldve beat them) Derrylaughan a few years ago, Eglish before that and most famous the time Killyman beat them.Is this just me or anyone else agree?
Another thing was the lack of physicality.Yes they mightnt have that selection. But Moortown were know as hard hard team (with plenty of footballers may i add) but they didnt seem that at all.

not picking a fight or trying to get at Moortown people before thats suggested, just wondered what peoples views were?

Vintage Strabane.
They can never seem to win a tight game.  They lack a middle.

Some of you lads are very thin skinned. Rouse didn't win a ball in the 2nd half, alot of ball was hit into him and it all came back out again. I didn't know he got the last touch on the goal, was a scrappy enough effort though. For all the talk of him before the game on here and his clear physical presence (he was the biggest man on the pitch) I was disappointed by his performance.

Moy are beatable, we hit the upright 3 times and O'Donnell had a great goal chance saved, someone other than a 19yr old kid might have finished it. Our prime point-scorer Niall Gormley went off injured and we had to bring on a player we had previously subbed. Brennan at MF was also a big loss. I just wasn't impressed by Moy. If we had curtailed either Mellon or Sean better we would have won the game. Mellon was MOTM, while Sean delivered when he was needed. Two monster frees with the wind and some driving runs really hurt us.

I didn't think there'd been that much tall of him. Not that it matters but what you said there was wrong. It wasn't his best game but he was still effective. He lost a few balls in the second half but he also won some. One resulted in him scoring a great point, another came of the post denying a good goal and he also sat up another point.

Given the Moy hadn't reached semi in years, had lost 3 or 4 of the better players this year and went in as underdogs against a trillick team that had beaten Ardboe I thought it was a very good result. The second half was a little disjointed after the long delay but the moy were well on top in the 1st half when trillick had everyone on. I hear Brennan is ok? Hopefully cause it was a worrying injury.

Carrickmore will rightly be hot favourites this weekend and their forwards can do damage if they get the right supply.

Are you forgetting the post saved Trillick from a heavier defeat when Rouse had the keeper beat. That would of finished the game. Trillick couldn't cope with Moy at midfield that's where the game was lost. Mellon was fantastic but Colm Cavanagh outclassed Richie all day.

Gormley did look threatening and if he had of stayed on who knows what would have happened, but it looked to me that moy sat back and tried to defend their lead instead of pushing on to finish the game. They need to find killer instinct to compete with Carmen because they won't get second chances, do well to come within 5 points. This was the draw everyone wanted, Carrickmore got lucky.
Living the dream!!!

Think he moy have been massively overlooked until this point, couldn't understand why they weren't favourite in opening ties against 2 mediocre teams. They have a very strong middle section prob strongest in tyrone and have acquired a very useful and effective full forward to do the scoring! I would call the next game neck and neck tbh carmen have been less than consistent all year. When is p mallon back fit?

Wee Roddy

Moy have the strongest middle section in Tyrone.....interesting. Who is Paul Mallon? Interesting first post.

In fairness they probably have as strong a midfield in Mellon and C Cav as anyone. And Sean Cavanagh floating about there gives them extra strength. They've plenty of weakensses eslewhere though. And Carrickmore's superior all round 15 will leave them as hot favourites.

I asked the same question earlier in the year.

It might not mean much if the player is not as influential but rouse (due to cavanaghs limited games) as I believe has been moys best player this year.
