Good result for our young team yesterday. Poor opposition but still, happy to get off the mark in Ulster which is more than a lot of teams from Tyrone have done in recent years......no substitute for tradition  ;)

Fair play to Errigal, got to say they keep on surprising.

The Beard it Must be nearly a whole two decades of tradition. Where do people get this idea of errigal being an arrogant bunch anyway??

I take it he means tradition in the ulster club competition where we are the only Tyrone club with any success. In those 2 decades we have reached 4 ulster club finals winning 2 of them.

Don't worry I am under no illusions. If we are to make anymore progress this year we will need massive performances coupled with a bit of luck.

Most division one Tyrone teams would have beaten that team on Sunday.

Ass Manager Thomas Mc Dermott is taking over for this match with McGuckian returning in 2 weeks. Thomas is very able to do this job.

Hereiam

Is he not a bit young himsel to be taking on this roll. He would be the same age as a couple of the players.

What's the story here with Ronan McGuckin and Errigal.  How does he walk away and come back if Errigal beat his own club?  Why is he not at least at training preparing his team to take part in the Ulster Championship.  Looks like Enda McGinley isn't too pleased about it according to the piece in the paper today.  If Errigal are beaten how will he regain the respect of the players when he returns for league playoffs?  Chris Lawn trained Cookstown the week up to the Moortown match.  He sat on the bench throughout the game.  He left the field with the full respect of both teams.  Legend!  As for McGuckin his credibility is finished in Tyrone.

I find the whole scenario laughable to be honest. It wouldnt be an issue for myself to manage against my club team, especially if I have taken my current team the whole way to the ulster championship stage. Does he think people would think less of him back in Ballinderry?  ??? ???

Having informed the errigal club of his intentions before being appointed I fail to see how they can complain about it having ended the o neill drought for some years.
If he did manage the team against his own club and lost by a point the accusations would be flyin too ,
hats off to McGuckin for stickin to his guns pity every clubman hadnt the same heart for his own club.
Cant see errigal gettin past Ballinderry regardless of who walks the line but you never know.

If beaten by Derrylaughan on Saturday then there won't be any league play-offs to return for- a defeat to Ballinderry and the season will be over

skeog

ease off ronan he his an honourable man who performed wonders with errigal and after all its only football

Hotrocks

Jeez ye are all very gullible on this thread.  Mc guckin is training the team and will pick the team against Ballinderry the only thing he won't do is walk the sideline on the day of the game.  Money talks !
