Me too..

That Fintona v Tatts one will be quer crack  ;D

I'll predict that Greencastle v Urney and Owen Roes v Newtown will be double header in Strabane.

Apart from Round 1 (5th April), any other provisional dates set for the first few rounds?

An email from a couple of months ago listed the following....

SUN 5 APRIL            Rd 1

TUES 14 April (Easter Tues)   Rd 2

SUN 19 April            Rd 3

SUN 26 APRIL         Rd 4

Actually, there are a few provisional updates to this.

30 April - 3 May: IFC/JFC Championship (County players only)
Sat 2 May: SFL/JFL R5

7 - 11 May: SFC/JFC (County players only)
Sat 9 May: IFL R5 JFL R6

15/17 May: SFL/IFL R6 JFL R7

23/24 May: SFC/IFC (non county players)
SFL/IFL R7 JFL R8

30 May: League Cup

After this depends on Tyrone except

25-28 June: JFC (non county players)

If that schedule is correct it means that we will have just three league games prior to our Championship game. Would anyone deem that as acceptable?

Watched Tyrone under 21s get well beatin by Down tonight in Newry. Surley with all the success of Tyrone minors they must have better players not on panel. Why to god is Paddy McNiece and Conor ONeill, two brilliant minors not on that team? only McAnula and number 13 showed well in attack While Kyle Coney battled hard in midfield. Ryan Pickering is over rated in my view. watched him aboun ten times now and he has not impressed me. cant understand his selection on tyrone teams, hes been roasted any time ive watched him.

only for harney and pickering last year against down, tyrone minors would have been out in the 1st round.

the u-21's played roscommon on saturday and were beaten by 3. roscommon were minor champions 3 years ago so I wouldnt read too much into the down result either, especially as down teams now seem to approach any game involving tyrone like an all-ireland final.

Judging by the Tyrone side listed in the Irish News today I'd expect that at least 4 of those lads that started last night won't make the 24 for the championship.

SFC:

Aghyaran v Killyclogher
Loughmacrory v Carrickmore
Omagh v Eglish
Coalisland v Dromore
Clonoe v Trillick
Ardboe v Moy
Donaghmore v Errigal
Galbally v Kildress

IFC

Strabane v Cookstown
Eskra v Clann na nGael
Moortown v Edendork
Augher v Gortin
Pomeroy v Killeshil
Urney v Greencastle
Stewartstown v Killyman
Derrylaughlin v Rock

JFC:

Brackaville v Dregish
Tattyreagh v Fintona
Derrytresk v Clogher
Glenelly v Drumragh/Dungannon
Brocagh v Aghaloo
Drumquin v EC III
Castlederg v Beragh
NTS V Owen Roes

Mmmm.....I don't quite know what to make of this draw.  There was never going to be an easy game for An Mhaigh on our return to senior football, but we face a very stiff first round here.  Ardboe will take some beating with their new manager on board, that fella Coney deciding to stay close to home this year, and those McGuigan lads all in flying form.  I suppose it is one of the games that will catch the attention of the neutral with so many of Tyrone's top county men involved!  Ah, sure, we will give it a lash and just hope we can give a good account of ourselves.

So, what do we think are the ties of the rounds in each of the three championships?  Mine are:

Senior: Clonoe v Trillick (The clash of last year's Senior and Intermediate Champions)

Intermediate: Strabane v Cookstown (Two divisions separated them last year but will Mugsy and Mulgrew have the 'blues' after this one????)

Junior: Brocagh v Aghaloo (One of the competition's big guns will be making an early exit here alright)

Zapatista

Some nice draws there.

Is this the second year in a row for Loughmacrory v Carrickmore?

After the tanking the Moy gave Ardboe in the championship in 2005 I dont think they will have to worry about giving a good account of themselves!
