Just back from the final. Loughmacrory absolutely deserved that. Thought Trillick were going to steal it but not to be.
Gripe though... why does refs blow so often when a player takes off on a solo run after being fouled? I thought that was the idea to keep the game going. Happened a lot today for no apparent reason.
Great occasion. History made and Tyrone championship def tops all.

The Bearded One

All week felt Trillick's experience would see them over the line with a few to spare, how wrong could I be! Loughmacrory with a performance that deserved to win the game by more than they did. Composed, clinical and fearless. Fair play to them.

Enjoy the celebrations.
It is what it is. Presumably.

Not quite sure why there is a lot of talk here on how the ref was rubbish?
I thought he handled the game very well.
Best ref in the county

Think he was right on the few occasions he called it back. One particular time the Lough number 4 bounced to get the game going rather than soloing. Another time it was miles away from where the foul was.

Loughmacrory by far the better side with the better forwards. 1 point flattered Trillick. Ref done a sound job.

Don't disagree with you on any of that. Just found it frustrating amount of times player was called back when heading off after a foul. Maybe ref had reasons I didnt pick up on. Other than that I thought ref was OK.

Quote from: Tyrone03 on October 26, 2025, 06:57:50 PMFrom a Carmen man fair play to the neighbours by far the better team few errors kept trillick in it. Was there any need for the dig by tyrone chairman sludden when presenting cup with the smirk on his face though?

Missed that bit. What did he say?

The cup will be going back to the termonmaguirc parish after a club chasing it for 20 years with a smirk on his face

Couldn't hear the tv but was watching the sludden presentation. Visually was coming across like one of the Lough supporters! Fully expect to see him in the Lough club rooms tomorrow

He actually said that?

Ref was fair, lough very good. Depending on the drink they could give Ulster a real rattle.

Thought Cathal donaghey was hard done by not getting motm, not that he'll care too much.

Will they have have enough to heat kilcoo? If so you'd have to fancy them to get to croker

Quote from: GAAtrojan on October 26, 2025, 05:38:00 PMMark Loughran absolutely awful. Tyrone county board a joke for this appointment. Fair play to loughmacrory

Couldn't agree more, kept Trillick in the match for most part. Game would have been out of sight only for him

Leaned heavily to Lough in the closing stages

Not sure he did. Only wrong decision thought he made was when there was a foul given for a clean tackle but McCullagh missed the free anyway.

Neutral here but thought ref was grand. Trillick did alot of needless fouls towards the end trying to win frees for themselves
I thought Mark did a good job. There will always be a couple of decisions here or there in any game that teams can complain about but I think he can be very happy with his performance overall.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Thought he was a cert for MOTM. Who got it?

DaleCooper

Quote from: DaleCooper on October 26, 2025, 08:51:14 AMHorrible day for it. Scoring power suggests Lough have a decent chance, though the goals issue is worrying

Trillick

13th Sept V Dungannon  23 points
26th Sept V Pomeroy      14 points
12th Oct V Errigal      16 points

Average : 17.6 points

Lough
12th Sept V Killyclogher    23 points
28 Sept V Donaghmore      20 points
12th Oct V carrickmore      19 points
17th Oct V carrickmore      19 points

Average : 20.25 points

McCullagh and Meenagh are top ten scorers , Lee Brennan is joint 4th. He's also struggling with frees.

Trillick might feel they've the work done after Errigal. Hopefully nothing silly decides the game.

Brennan continued to struggle today, Lough were imperious first half and looked they would blow them awayb. Cathal Donaghy MOTM was consensus of people there, he grabbed game by the balls.

Serious achievement for the Lough
