Quote from: Rebel84 on August 22, 2024, 12:35:08 PMFolks what has happened for the Moy to have fallen off a cliff with four losses in a row? Can't be the sole reason of one decent forward out injured.

I think that's what it comes down to. The over reliance on Conroy/Coleman they've completely stopped.

Always the same with the moy the past 20 years. An over reliance on a few class players but no bench to step up.

Moy starred games used to be an automatic 2 points.

Living the dream!!!

What poor Beragh player was on the receiving end?
Love how you automatically assume it was Beragh on the receiving end.

Moy to try and poach children at young age from protestant background to try and strengthen their foundation. Cavanagh thinking outside the box... Primary schools to change to integrated. Hope to see it, Small clubs would thrive with this. Moy without Conroy is any team in Division 1 without their best forward but other teams have maybe 3/4 good forwards as well which maybe separates Moy from being a Div 1 team to Div 2 team.

Quote from: square_ball on August 21, 2024, 08:11:33 PMThat's the relegation play off sorted then. Coalisland v Clonoe with the loser down and winner playing the Divison 2 play off winner.

Unless Eglish win their two games then they play clonoe????
And if either team win the championship then they stay up

Don't think you need to worry about that, bad bad spell for two traditional powers. 1st round championship game and a relegation playoff and in reality I don't know how much bragging rights the winners can really take from either.

Eglish have been quite decent as of late haven't shipped a proper beating in a while, if Killyclogher conveniently rested a few men on Friday night it would leave Sunday afternoon somewhat interesting. 3 wins in 5 days when you had none before that is asking a lot though.

Top 4 going to the wire as well, great season for Galbally. Errigal sitting top of the tree in absolute third gear is ominous
No matter how good you look I'm not sure how long you're able to go unbeaten in Tyrone. Also having the target on the backs even more so and an easier side of the draw. Can never write anything off in Tyrone

Quote from: square_ball on August 21, 2024, 09:10:04 PMMissed that Eglish had a game in hand to play on Friday night. Would be some turnaround alright.

What has happened the Fianna in all seriousness? 4 county players and a lot of decent club players as well.
Was told 2 years back that the county players for them weren't showing up at all (Hampsey and Mckernan at the time). Also would assume that the enternal situation wouldn't be good. Some turnover of management in the last decade or so

Serious turnover of management is right. They've had a different management team every year since 2020. They way their league campaign has gone this year, they'll likely have another new management team in 2025 as well.

A few parts of the Killyclogher pitch had some surface water last night and between then and tomorrow evening there will have been a lot of rainfall. Eglish were always going to have to turn it into a battle and this will help them massively. A dry summers day and Killyclogher would beat them out the gate.

The county will be cheering on Eglish

Why? 🤔
2 points tonight and then 2 points on Sunday and they move past Coalisland don't they?

Onthe40

The championship game probably looses significance now, the bigger game will come after

Rebel15

Naomh eoghan 7 points from last available 8 is very impressive putting some run together for championship, could be a big upset in first round against one of the favourites Moy who are on a slow descend.
Still fancy beragh to beat cookstown and avoid the dreaded play-offs in middle of October.

Quote from: Truthsayer on August 23, 2024, 08:20:52 PMEglish beat. Fianna - Rahilly play-off. Be some crowd at that. Won't know to Sunday who'll be at home.

Will home advantage really make a difference in a game like that?
