It would be unfair on the team finishing 14th to lose home advantage. The relative pitch widths suit the home sides.

Kildress, Greencastle, Dungannon and Donaghmore drew the short straw having to play in Pomeroy. New changing rooms or not it is a bad choice for championship games. Heavy pitch, grass rarely cut and a gale force wind blowing down it. Can't remember the last good championship game played there.

Was up in Pomeroy a few weeks ago at a youth blitz, the pitch is absolutely immaculate. Was told Dimac sports who are in charge of Galbally, Kc , Garvaghy now taking care of it

G1 Minor championship for Cookstown
If they are relegated to junior again you would assume they will be straight back up

sam03/05

They lost the final last year too, seem to be on the rise at underage level, Div 3 might be a good place to start

TyroneGaafan2005

Convincing win for Brackaville today in Augher quite surprised going off league form.

Same with Eglish as well I think. Their youth teams have been impressive in recent years. I think they won the grade 1 minor league last year as well as the u14 double. Don't think they will spend too long in intermediate football.

I'm hearing Gortin are to build a statue to Sean Hurson after today. Awarded a penalty at the death 60+ yards away from the ball for a foul that looked well outside the box.

Referee school always said if you don't see it you can't give it. Sean very much gifting Gortin a league title on a guess.

Moortown lose out

Beragh beat Cookstown to send Cookstown into the relegation playoffs. That will put the minor celebrations on ice as the look to secure intermediate status for next season.

Living the dream!!!

Are you making an accusation?

Few clubs would have been better off conceding today rather than letting their reserves take hidings.

Quote from: Rebel84 on August 25, 2024, 06:52:59 PMPomeroy lucky to have got points on the board early on with only one point from their last seven games. Expect them and Gortin and whoever else wins the relegation playoff to be in the bottom three next season.

Let Gortin enjoy their day mystic meg

So according to you its better to concede a fixture instead of giving a few lads a chance to play on their senior team many making their debuts?

Debut or not, getting beat by 27 points while scoring 1 point doesn't do anyone involved any good in my opinion but each to their own.

Gortin must be given credit for reaching Senior status.Well run club with limited enough numbers.
