Was just thinking to myself there-what is the story with Tim Harney, was an excellent prospect I though for future back up for Tyrone as a keeper, but I have read that he has moved to Pearse Og's in Armagh and has been called up to the Armagh senior team (despite living and working still in West Tyrone), what the hell is going on here and why is he not playing for Glenelly?

Why has he transferred if he is still living and working in Tyrone?  At the time of the All Ireland win, he was seen as a future Tyrone number 1.

His Dad is a Pearse Og's man as far as I know. Tim's younger brother Jamie across the water at West Ham. Centre back.

Another former Glenelly man playing intercounty football for Tipperary. Quiting Glenelly seems to be key.

Hearing rumours of Sunday 11th fixtures being scrapped by the power that is Mickey Harte.

Not sure why Harte would care about the 11th? That's within the 13 day rule so county players wouldn't be available and any games would be starred. From what I've saw there are no fixtures that day.

Unless you mean Sunday 4th May? Would be disappointing if they were. Though could see why he would be uneasy about the players playing 2 games in 3 days 2 weeks before the ulster championship.

The games on the 11th are starred anyway AFAIK.
But i have heard talk of one of the double weekend games getting the chop
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

First round of the championship wont be played when it is supposed to then, the idea of the double weekend was to get 5 league games played before the championship. Why does the county board even bother? just let Mickey do the fixtures at the start of the year.

Im not sure that its a  rule, but the clubs had requested that if the championship was to be played early that at least 5 rounds of league games needed to be played first

I think clubs wanted 5 league games with all their players available. Starred game wouldnt be great prep for a championship.

Not sure the full story but Harney is a fireman. Don't think he is based locally. Maybe Belfast area.
