Killlyclogher played out the last 10 mins with 12 men. Ref sent off no. 6 for 2 yellows, even though only booked once. Not many expected them to win.

Safe journey to all travelling to our club games today. .. heading to strabane early where would we get a good family Sunday dinner in strabane or close by....

If I had of seen this earlier, I would've said Strabane Golf Club where you would've got a great carvery feed for a few pound. Only 2 mins drive then to Sigerson Park.

I can see serious issues with the black card rule at club level. They were thrown out randomly at our game today. Some for awkward tackles while other pull downs ignored. Think there was 4 in total. How'd it work up and down the county?

Ref didn't want to book anyone in our game. Every tackle, slap and punch was a wee yarn, a pat in the back and 'behave yerself'.

He was the same for both sides in fairness, and that's all you want from a ref.

It was our first opening day win since 2007!!

Carrickmore versus Coalisland was a fine game for the time of year. Coalisland wanted the result a little more to be honest and it was only in the last 10 minutes that Carrickmore matched their intensity. The team is getting nothing out of Mark Donnelly and Gormley looked tired before the game started. To me it looked as if the county men had a tough week training as Plunket Kane tired as the game progressed.
All in all i would say both teams would be happy enough with the performance.

To be fair Sludden was ref at our game yesterday and issued 3 blackcards all of which were deserved. I thought he had a great game and was very fair to both teams........i cant believe i actually said that

3 black cards I only heard about 1 black for clone corner back and one straight red for strabane player who were the other 2 black cards for. Heard he had a good game also which to be fair if sludden forgets about his own ego he is a top class ref in my opinion anyway.

It is amazing that Jerome McElroy is considered a good enough referee to be sent to referee a game like Moortown and Ardboe. His interpretation of the rules are different than everyone elses, and always has been.
Stephen McNamee refereed a tough game in Carrickmore yesterday and let the game go, adding to the entertainment. The players got on with it because they knew what to expect. Players respected him and he respected the players

Jerome mc Elroy was poor yesterday and also had the audacity to bring no officials with him .Does he not know these parish derbies are hard enough to ref with a ref and four umpires?it would have been his own fault had it spilled over into a field fight

Strabane brought on a sub, he was on about 2 minutes and jumped on a mans back and was black carded rightly straight away, and im sure another Strabane lad got a black follwed by a red.
