Surely the county board could release the league start dates by now so clubs know when first game is and plan training/pre season? Even an option a, b,c scenario based on U21 or national league progress? No county senior players in division 3 so no reason why games couldn't be started/planned?

Erm. Steven O Neill?

Club Championship draws tonight.  It seems strange that we will know the championship fixtures before the release of league fixtures.  Has it been confirmed yet that Championship will be played early this year?  If not it soon will be because that can be the only reason for such an early draw.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Living the dream!!!

Surprised no one is mentioning the Championship draws tonight.  Owen Roes v Clogher the big one! !

There could be a few Errigal men in America this Summer, could be a long one at home for them!  ;)
Should be a clinker of a game!

wheres he takin er from

Maybe I've missed something already mentioned on here but is there any firm word of when league, or championships are pencilled to begin?
First on the field and last to leave

The CCC are starting off as they finished doing feck all for clubs. No start date for the club leagues nor could they confirm a start date for the championship other than of if this happens or if that happens, as usual it's all about the county team. It is truly sickening

Club Rossa

Great championship draw. Most pairings would be hard to call. You would expect Carrickmore to come through but it would be difficult to pick a winner in the other ties.

hugh the root

Ardboe v Moy is going to be a massive clash!

Club Rossa

You're finding it easier to pick a winner than I am Hugh ;D

You could be right but this time last year nobody gave us a chance against Dromore. The lads now know what level they have to be at for the first round. (whenever that may be!).

Surprised you fell for that, anyone with half a brain knows this is a 50/50 game. Carrickmore have a gimme to the semi final, talk about luck.

Wee Roddy

With the level of commitment, hunger and luck required to win the O'Neill cup I actually think that first round tie could be the death knell for Clonoe. Errigal are a good side who went to the tank last year and it was dry!

Wee Roddy

By that I mean its a 50/50 game and Clone will need to be at their best from early on

You have a very strong case there, if we manage to beat Errigal, we probably would have Dromore, followed by yourselves in the semi or either Coalisland/Omagh and Ardboe. If we fortunate enough to win the championship we will have to beat all the best team in the process, a massive undertaking. As you correctly say the cards are stacked against us. The draw from hell. And likewise for Errigal if they beat us.
