Aye but it is a concern when he was a regular on the taem in 2007 and got an All Star nomination and this year never even came in as a sub in the championship.

Maybe, I just reckon he's too laid back and happy to be on board. The literal toe in the hole seems to be what's required. The big problem is between Cookstown and the Poly he'll not get much game time in the National League this year either.

ray needs a big year in 2010, he was caught in the middle between cookstown and tyrone last year where he couldn't play for his club becos he was involved with tyrone, and he wasn't getting game time for the county either.  In recent months his game has picked up considerably, i believe MH rates him quite well and like the rest of us would love to see a change in form for the county- perhaps his success with the club will spur him on next year.

Id also love to see Barry Mulligan getting a chance for Tyrone, and is no doubt someone that can play to that standard when he puts his mind to it, however i think he has had his run ins with Micky before and think this may harm his chances!

Harte says the opposite. He says he practically had to beg him to stay on with the County. Harte speaks very highly of him.

FOX NEWS
Well Folks!!  It was all a rumour and Rocwell are staying on... decision made last nite.

A one year deal Fox?  And any word on the value?  Would be surprised if it was £100k.

Maybe not ???

A Fermanagh based company could well be the new Tyrone sponsors as they bid to agree a deal with the three time All-Ireland winners.

Target Express is owned by Derrylin native Seamus McBrien and it is the largest privately owned courier service in the U.K, employing over 500 people with 23 depots.

The Tyrone county board have revealed that they may be seeking a new sponsor for next year as current sponsors Rocwell may not go ahead for another term.
And McBrien admitted that he has held initial talks with the Tyrone county board over becoming the county's new sponsor.
"Discussions are ongoing and nothing has been finalised, but our hat is in the ring and we are glad to be still in the running," said McBrien.

He added that the company was interested in sponsoring Fermanagh, but the county board opted to renew their long standing deal with Tracey Concrete.

That piece was before Tuesday night. Rocwell will do their final year on deal in 2010 and I
suppose it'll be on the table again after that.

Good news IMO. Last thing Tyrone senior team needs is to be running round a field with targets on their chest!  :D
Poor SON would have another target on his front to match the one on his back all last season!

Cant argue with many names on that list but i find it astounding that Mickey Murphy is back on the panel. The lad has barely kicked ball for Galbally this past 2 years and there is no way he is up to it.

goal and a point

Is Sean o Neil not at Jordanstown?

barelegs

I'd just wonder to what extent is the panel affected by those on McKenna Cup duty with their college. I'm sure there may be others looked at depending on their performances for college teams in the McKenna cup

Sean O'Neill is at Jordanstown but has not played for Jordanstown this year.  I don't think he's interested in Sigerson, he wanted a break after finishing the year with Dromore.

Its still a very strong McKenna Cup panel, there's a few that would definitely not be up to it but only a few.  Micky Murphy definitely deserves another go if he is fit, one of the best club footballers in Tyrone on his day.

Aye on his day two years ago. He hasnt played club ball hardly since.

Looking forward to seeing how a lot of those lads get on in the McKenna Cup. Quite a decent panel and would be good if we actually tried to win it this year. Have no problem with Murphy being on the panel, he's obviously fully fit now and is potentially a good player. Will be interesting to see how last years minors stand up to the physical side of the game at this level. Would be great if some if they showed up well already. Mattie Donnelly was good at u21 level last year so he hopefully can make the step up.

redhugh

Really good mix of youth and experience there.Great to see the young lads given the chance.Exciting times ahead..

Good to see all of the above players get a chance. These guys are probably on their first and last chance, whereas the boys just out of minor will probably get another opportunity if they don't make the grade this year.

Agreed.

A promising blend of youth, inexperience (at County level) and experience.
