They tried to impose the right to veto any other trade deals Canada might set up with other countries.

I'd say that was aimed at controlling the influence of China as they are all out trying to protect the US $ as the global trading currency of choice.

They've majorly fúcked up with Iran, shock and awe hasn't worked (if it ever did!) and now it's a protracted, economic battle with Iran restricting the flow of oil, impacting global markets and US consumers feeling the pain.

The other side of this is that the US military have overreached (they probably hadn't much say) and have lost the aura of invincibility.
It's hard to believe any source when it comes to the US/Zionist war with Iran, but there has been major damage to US bases, early warning systems etc in the region.

I interact with a group of 30 Brits on one hand aged 35-70, many ex military. Most of them are gung ho for Israel.
