There aren't a lot of "off the boat" Irish where I live-actually I believe there to be only 4 in my entire town

3 are Republicans and 1 is a Democrat

And one (not me) is a hard core MAGA supporter and it's a woman

In terms of people I know through work-I only know 2 off the boat-and they're both Republicans

When it comes to Irish Americans, through work I know hundreds and I would say they're split 60/40 Republican/Democrat

Just telling you my experience in the Bronx.

The Irish here are equal opportunist they discriminate against everyone.
The first word Irish people learn when they get off the plane is "n****r".

Absolutely Irish people and Irish Americans can be racist, but you're mistaken in saying they are voting Republican because they're racist

I was down in Ballina shortly after Biden's visit and was chatting with a lady in a shop

She was somewhat surprised that I wasn't a big Biden supporter

Another customer chimed in who had family in NYC-all her cousins were NYPD and she told the shopkeeper that all of her cousins despised Joe and were calling her going mad at everyone fawning over Joe when he was in town

I'm telling you why Trump appeals to so many Irish migrants and the wannabes.. and you certainly fit that genre.

Not changing the subject at all

It is your opinion that Irish and Irish Americans are driven by racism in their decision to vote for Trump but
Portuguese and Portuguese Americans also vote for Trump (and many of them would be regarded as black)

Maybe your theories on voting patterns among immigrant groups aren't  as iron clad as you give yourself credit for
