Ah full back I'll explain it to you, you stated that the Cross defence had been airtight & hoped it continued on Sunday, I was merely pointing out that the match is on Tuesday, not Sunday, that's all!

mmm full of blow ins - don't think so

Wind you neck in BC.  You guys up north have all the senstivities of a rhino stuck in a telephone box at times. I simply made the point that you got no challenge in the semi final, anybody who knew anything about gaelic football would say the same. It doesn't mean your going to lose next week , just an observation thats all.
If Cross underestimate Crokes like they did with vincents last year, they will lose. If they don't I'd expect them to edge it narrowly.

I haven't heard that one before!

I won't wind my neck in either.  You made an assertion that to my mind is not valid.  The major concern for Cross i not what happened 3 weeks ago but what will happen next week.  You're right if we underestimate Crokes we will lose.  I do not believe that will be the case.  I would go the other way and suggest that the legendary arrogance of Dubliners may be a bigger factor in regards to underestimation.  We were badly caught last year, it is not something I expect to happen again.

Crokes will have 13 Dubs starting on LLP. Kavanagh imo will start and be lucky to start as he has not played that well this year. Having said that, he could well have a blinder as a result of the space created by the tight marking of Mark Vaughan. Have to say I saw Crokes play in the early rounds of the Dublin Champ. and didn't expect them to get this far.

Can't see anything other than a Cross win here. When it boils down to it its a city side full of blow-ins against one of the most experienced tightly knit units in the country.

I thought Crokes only had 2 outsiders ie McBarron and Kavanagh.
Are there more anyone ?

Legendary arrogance? Oisin on vincents last year. "Vincents are a fairly decent team by all accounts although I haven't bothered watching any videos of them". ;D ;D. Fact. I'd say Cross might watch a few videos of Crokes- just in case ;)

crossfire

Most managers will advise their players not to watch videos of the opposition.
It is the Managers job to study the opposition.

Indiana, you talk about Cross arrogance, if memory serves some of your post match comments after the semi last year were some of the most arrogant posts ever on the board!! You say the game was over at half time, I'm sure you remember the gale that was blowing down the field that day. It was far from over at half time!!
Keep your pecker hard and your powder dry and the world will turn.

Still think that Crokes will win this and the closer I get to the game the more I think that it will be quiet comprehensive.

I was in Navan last year for AICSF (mate works with one of the Vins players) and thought that "Cross" looked a tired team.......others have obviously interpereted it as a blip/ overconfidence.I differ. I feel that Crokes have better players than St Vincents but that St Vincents had a by far better mgt team than the current Crokes setup. If Crokes pick the right team (no McBarron to begin with) and use their talent on the subs bench wisely I cannot see CR living with them. Crokes are a far better team with a fit  Ó hÉineacháin on it.

They probably were tired considering they had come through a full season the year before as AI champions! I thought Cross did unbelievably well last year to get to a semi final again after the year before. How many sides can do that one. Where's Vincents this year?

I can't see Crokes beating Cross. Cross have too many options to call on, with too many players playing at the top of their game, and a focus and determination that verges on the scary at times.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Consideirng some of the stuff your camp came out with the week of the game, anything I said after the game was tame in comparison. You wrote us off comepletely before the game for Gods sake man. You lost a match its not life or death.

milltown row

cross will win. by 5 points. this tight marking of Vaughan will be done with one player, cant see too much space for kavanagh. as for arrogance, well both teams gave it Vaughan and Osin both  have it. remember him saying something after our ulster final, seemed a bit off at the time, but sure they won well and we failed to topple the best team in ulster

mountainboii

Feel this is a very dodgy one for Cross, wouldn't be surprised if the unbeaten final record goes this time.

Although, if they are beaten, after Vincents last year, it wont be because of underestimating the opposition.

INDIANA

they've more pace in their team this year and midfield has improved with Mc Entee there. Crokes will have huge support at the game though, probably worth a point or two.
