Agree he was poor again and seems to be lacking confidence.
Why wait till injury time for Aquilani to come on?

Ok so Europa league. don't even want to think about that right now. On to tonight's performance.
Gerrard said the team played well and worked hard. I thought they were just ok. Granted they worked hard but he opposition was poor. Insua is not convinving me. Kuyt has been atrocious lately. His first touch is so bad. When he does get the ball his second touch is always a sidewards pass. When the team was doing well I saw what kuyt gave the team but at the moment it is crying out for some creativity and not a recycler on the right.
Good to get the win all same. Have been impressed with Ngog while Torres is out. has some good ability on the ball and knows how to sniff out a chance. Still needs to work on his play with his back to goal but he has improved tenfold in this area over the last 12 months.
Now Aquilani, we just want to see him play. He won't start against Everton that's for sure but he needs to be getting 20-30 mins over the next couple of games then give him 70 or 80 mins see how he gets on.
Too many players wont play early forward balls and you can see Gerrard's frustration.

Just hope we can go on a bit of a run and get back up the table. The players are there to do that much at least.

Finishing 4th far more important than Europa League, fair enough it be nice to win a trophy but I'd nearly say they should play Carling Cup type players in the Europa League and go all out for top
4 finish and a good FA Cup run

Specifcally taking off N'Gog? They already knew the score from florence so goal diff would have made a big diff shoudl Lyon get the draw they were threatening. Why is £20m now fit aqualiani not being played?
