Just not good enough...only for Fede's clearance I think Slot might've been gone. Same goes if we lose to Leeds. Can't be on the run we've been on and not beat Forest, Sunderland and Leeds

Quote from: J70 on December 03, 2025, 10:17:29 PMCould have been worse. That late breakaway by Sunderland just beggared belief!

Why did it take them until the last ten minutes to start moving Sunderland around a bit. It was totally static up until that point, just back and forth across the field on a horseshoe around the area.

But at least they fought back to get a point. It looked seriously beyond them for quite a while after Sunderland scored. Speaking of which, Van Dijk totally at fault giving the ball away and then standing back watching him shoot.

It was, fine defensive work by Chiesa to prevent the goal and near certain Sunderland win

It was, but in the other hand, was Chiesa supposed to be the last man back? If he was, he left the forward in acres of space with a clear run on goal. If not Chiesa, then who was supposed to be there??

Sunderland are a pretty solid outfit who seemed to have much more pace all over the park than Liverpool and that's not something you could say about Liverpool the last few seasons...

The press, yet again from Liverpool was half hearted and easily played through by the Mackems who looked pretty comfortable for most of the night at Anfield.

Time for Slot to get the inhalers out again.

statto

The Gakpo cutting inside at every opportunity in the first half last night was particularly hard to watch.

Wirtz who had a MOTM display against West Ham in central role, then moved to the left to make way for Salah at half time. Szobo who has been best player this season is becoming a victim of his own versality has been farmed out to the right side, which might be ok if Frimpong or Bradley there but Gomez very limited going forward.

MacAllister is miles off it would have took him off at half time, went with Gravenberch- Szobo in middle, Wirtz in the ten and Salah/Chiesa out wide would had more balance to the team.

When chasing game Slot's answer seems to be get as many forward players on pitch with no real structure.

Got a point didn't deserve last night, Leeds game going be tough on Saturday given last nights results and the crowd bang up for it under the lights.

f**king hell Konate.

Cruising at 2-0, give away a penalty with a brain dead tackle in the box and now probably looking at another defeat.

A complete liability at the minute. Needs dropped.

Once the 9 minutes went up I just knew Leeds would score. Free man on the back post for that goal absolutely criminal.

Thought we played fairly well up until Konate giving away the penalty, lost complete control of the game after that, even when they went back ahead they were never really in control.

How many set piece goals is that conceded this season?

Between that and the individual mistakes from Konate and even Van Dijk, you'd wonder what kind of coaching is going on at all in training.

I'm sorry Arne, it's been great, but it's time.

More set-piece pain for Slot's Liverpool this season
Only Nottingham Forest (11) have conceded more goals from set-pieces in the Premier League this season (excl. penalties) than Liverpool (10).

In fact, Liverpool have already conceded more set-piece goals in the Premier League this campaign than they did in the entirety of last season (9).

Would the first goal have happened if Bradley had still been on?
