Some dreadful defending on show from both sides tonight but an enjoyable game nonetheless.

Lou Macari is some knob though. Spent the whole game saying how he couldn't understand why Liverpool weren't playing their full team because they needed a win.
Never mentions it then when we go 5-3 up.

Thought he done pretty well in fairness to him.
Could have got a goal even. Don't think he will be a El Zhar but I also don't really see him as a Luis Garcia though Bingo.

Thought he played alright as well. At least he has the ability to take the ball around a player, something we are lacking. Suso although quiet for large spells, definitely seems to have the ability and and had some lovely runs.

Enrique was pure pish (trying to be constructive), looks like Johnson wll be continuing at LB for the forseeable future.

Shelby is really starting to develop into a fine player

Shelvey's goals were top class.  Enrique and Reina are both having a bit of a Spanish flu I reckon.  Hopefully Reina recovers his form as Jones is just above average.  Assaidi looks lively and has the trickery.  Think he can be a great impact sub at this stage, imagine having to chase that wee hoor after running after say Sterling or Borini for an hour!  Suso and Wisdom played well and Henderson put in a mature performance.  Pacheco was a bit lost.  Carra is done but is a key player for this season for these types of games to help Wisdom and Coates settle in. 

Substitutions worked very well as Borini and Shelvey were key to wnning the game.  Shelvey is a smashing player and on current 'form' should play at the top of the midfield three, behind either Borini or Luisito.

Maybe it's a UPC thing alright.
It was the same for the Hearts game.
It was on 3e anyway only I had to suffer through Brian Kerr and Lou Macari.

ITV 4 is available on the Sky digibox (Irish card) but you have to set it up yourself on the 'Other Chanel' menu.
Probably setting up BBC/ITV on 'Other Channels' is regarded as slightly unofficial activity, therefore (this game on Sky ITV) was not regarded as a broadcasting breach in Ireland.
This Rodgers/Liverpool relationship has the makings of an era, but they could have done with him after Benitez or Hodgson. At least he inherited Suarez.
