Should have won it in the end. Lucas must have closed his eyes when heading that one. Defence is an absolute shambles though and doesn't look like it's improving. Another ridiculously soft goal conceded from a set-piece. More injuries picked up as well.

Kuyt absolutely rubbish once again and stays on for the 90. Could he have not thrown on Aquiliani for 10 minutes at the end instead of Aurelio?

Good man Rafa!Feeling quite positive about this one.Gerrard hat-trick written all over it ;D

Really need to knock that glue on the head :-[

.........just thought I'd get it in first ;)

Lucky to get a point from that game, even though Lucas really should've won it at the end. Defending awful for both goals - they really need to get a settled back four in place. Have to say I thought Teves was superb when he came on - really held the ball up well and spread the play nicely. Its a shame he wouldn't go to Liverpool last summer (although could they have afforded him?). N'Gog looked decent enough for Liverpool - definitely a bit of potential there.

WhoAreYaWhoAreYa!

Lucas was just the wrong man in the right place at the end of the game! That was a real real chance to win it! That zonal marking is really starting to annoy me! They talk about it week in week out in analysis, you'd think rafa would cop on. I strongly disagree with anyone who says 'ge trafa out'..a few of my friends have sed it , right after the game 2day. not the first time either, but i just dont think sacking him is the answer!

Probably just paper talk, but there's a rumour today that Liverpool are considering an approach to take van Nistelrooy on loan till the end of the season once the transfer window opens.

Would we prefer him as an alternative to the likes of Voronin? :P

Say what you want about him, he is a quality finisher.

Wouldn't see a problem with that in fairness could he be worse than the porn star?

This season just stumbles from one farce into another. Seen better defending in my Monday evening 5-a-side. What was Skertel thinking of? Its nothing to do with zonal or man-to-man, just plain shit defending. I thought we had been doing alright up to that and the Greek looked solid and put his presence about!!

Gerard is clearly not fit or not risking the injury. Holding back from what I could see. The two injuries totally didn't help, I looked at the bench before hand and thought that it was very attacking and Rafa was out for the 3 points no matter what. That had changed by the 15th minute.

Must win tomorrow night, despite the fact it may be in vain but for the sake of moral and to stop the run of 1 in 10.

Rafa

We are playing with a serious lack of confidence at the moment and its completely debilitating. The defence and team had been relatively sound right up until the first goal. We had completely controlled the game then when Adebayor scored we were rocked, absolutely shit scared of losing the game, sitting back, being very nervous and giving the ball away. The defence then looked shaky as ever and low and behold its 2-1. I think they got fairly lucky for the equaliser but Lucas really should have won it. Just lacking that extra bit of class to be good enough at this level.

I fear for tomorrow night, whilst we'll all be waiting on the Fiorentina result nervously I actually think we have the possibility of messing up in Hungary. We were terrible against them at home and with the injury list as bad as ever now I wouldn't rule out a draw out there.

I think I'll officially concede now that we are out of the title race (no shit sherlock), I was holding out some hope but that is just far too many points dropped now at this stage.

The close up of Rafa mouthing the words to You'll Never Walk Alone had me in stitches.

Looked like a cheap attempt to win over those preparing his headstone.

It was pathetic and tacky. Will probably work. :D

well it's a real do or die night for Liverpool tomorrow night, this campaign kinda reminds me the 2005/06 season where Man united where knocked out in the group stages, that season Benfica & Villarreal qualified instead of United where they were both later knocked in Quarter finals, if florentina do qualified if will be interesting how them & Lyon do in the knock out stages?

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open
