Premier league first and foremost, CL second. After that it's just consolation prizes, and given Liverpool have a great shot at winning the LC already, why would most Liverpool fans lose any sleep over going out?

I'm in Liverpool today and I'm not getting that vibe

Well then clearly some people care.

But you asked a question and I gave you my personal view.

I'll give you the same answer in two months when Donegal don't put much effort into making the league final with Derry up the following week.

That response after getting knocked out and not scoring against a side 24th in the Championship.

They haven't had much else to crow about other than United's 2-2 win at Anfield last month.

Aaron Boone

Really deep issues for Slot now. This is a trophies business.

Capt Pat

I am disappointed we went out but it is more important to rest the first teamers for Everton.

Really really pissed off with that from Slot. Essentially threw a FA Cup game to a team rooted to the bottom of the Championship by picking the 3rd choice midfield. Really unforgiveable. Fans complain that we don't spend big on transfers or pay enough on wages to hold on to our top players but essentially today Slot threw away 4-6 million in revenue as well as a potential FA Cup trophy and a domestic treble. 4-6 million would have paid Salah wages for the next 6 months.

Liverpool are 6 points leaders with a game in hand. Their closest challengers Arsenal have lost their best player and top scorer to injury. According to the OPTA analysis there's something like a 91% chance they win the title from here. Chancing a few starters (all it would have taken was a half cameo from Jones, Sob or Macca) against Plymouth Argyle was not going to cost them the Premier League.

Ill forgive Slot if we win the CL and PL but otherwise that team selection today was disgraceful. It's the revenue lost that pisses me off as much as the defeat. Your future success is pretty much dictated by how much money you generate in the here and now. A good FA Cup run puts 2nd- choice players in the shop window adding millions to their value. Salzburg gave us 15 million for Bobby Clark of the back of a few half performances in last years Cup runs FFS. Likewise the Cup runs have added substantially to Kelleher's value and we sold Neco Williams for a ransom in the past . We can pretty much kiss goodbye to any kind of transfer fee for Nyoni, McConnell and Quansah after today's shitshow.

If we beat Everton midweek and go 9 clear the league is pretty much over. The last 6 games of the end of the season would be pretty much redundant where we could have rested players. I thought by losing today they've put an incredible amount of hard work this season to waste.

Jeepers I thought pool with their brilliant panel could easily put out 3 teams capable of beating Plymouth

Mildly annoyed but the last 2 times we have been in with a chance at 4 trophies we've ended up with 2 league cups and 1 FA cup...it's all about the league for me and going out today increases our chances of winning it

100%

McKenna Cup > League Cup
NFL > FA Cup
Ulster > PL
Sam > CL

Could swap the last 2, but ultimately the LC and FA Cup are major afterthought territory and better sacked off if a realistic chance of the main pair

Is that list in order of personal preference of the general thought of most Pool supporters?

Surely the domestic league would be the priority for most clubs?
