Not sure that much can be done
Especially when you look at what is available on the bench.

With a limited size squad Klopp will only get workman like performances for a game or two. Steam will go out in intermittent games. Fair dues to West Ham. They were a bit fresher and wanted it more.

Disappointing but not surprising and not the end of the world.

It's more the quality of player than the squad size for me

West Ham well worth the 3 points and really could have won it by a lot more.
The white Andy Carroll showing the black Andy Carroll how it's done.

No doubt about that. But you still have to have a fair size squad to deal with games coming hard and fast. Liverpool at the moment have games in the League Cup, FA Cup, Europa Cup and Premiership. Too many really!

Could Klopp not just bring in the Dortmund team en masse ? It would be easier to move forward rather than trying to herd the Liverpool players into something coherent.

Rogers already tried that with Southampton and see how that went!  :P

I see Danny Murphy has stated that only max 2-3 of the current Liverpool squad would make it into the Spurs team.   Says it all really!

Very disappointing and they looked liked they had a late NYE,  very sluggish and no inspiration.  Benteke won't do.  He is not at the level and I don't think he will get there.  I am more mobile at 40 than he is now(and a whole lot braver!)  Too powder puff and easily intimidated.  I know there are injuries but the excuses are not there for people not putting a shift in.  I suppose the only positives were a strong performance from Can, Smith when he came on, I thought Firmino worked hard but his touch was off,  Coutinho when he moved more central and Lovern at the back.  The FBs look busted and need a rest.  I think the only way forward is with a diamond the way they played against Southampton and be solid in the MF.  Play Firmino as a second striker with either Sturridge or Origi when they come back and Coutinho at the point of the diamond.

Benteke is an enigma, he can blow your socks off when in form and looks like a non league player when not, Liverpool were outworked and outplayed in every sector and can have no complaints, the good news, not one of these players has been signed by Klopp, I think the vast majority of this squad are playing for their futures at Liverpool, especially Benteke and the keeper, I expect him to right the ship come the summer and push on from there.
Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.

As has been pointed out, its not working with Benteke. And its just like many said it wouldn't way back last spring when Rodgers was making the moves to buy him, after getting rid of Carroll a couple of years before. He's a good player and finisher (one on ones aside!), but he is just not suited to the way Liverpool play. Look at the chances Carroll got today. Benteke would thrive on those, but they're just not coming.

That aside, Liverpool were outmuscled and physically bullied... again!

Klopp has a job on his hands.

Is it just me, or was Mignolet a little slow in reacting to the first goal?

Would anyone else have been surprised if DeGea had allowed that to go through him?

ONeill

22 Mignolet
38 Flanagan
20 Cissokho
08 Gerrard (Ibe - 76' )
37 Skrtel
04 K Touré
14 Henderson Booked
10 Coutinho
15 Sturridge (Allen - 66' )
07 Suarez (Iago Aspas - 86' )
31 Sterling

That's the side that hammered Arsenal 2 years ago this Feb. Is it simply the front 3 that's the difference?
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.
