I'd like to see Henderson start ahead of Joe Allen. Joe Allen for me has struggled in the high tempo, physical games. By contrast Henderson is really coming into form & starting to show why we invested in him. He gets about the park well, is strong in a tackle & his passing has really improved in recent weeks. He is more likely to pop up with a goal or an assist than Allen as well.

I think most reds would rather see Sterling start ahead of Downing - however I agree with yBingo. Id plumb for Downing to start, with the option of Sterlings pace in the last 30mins

The team id like to see line out would be:

                   Reina
Wisdom, Skrtel, Ager, Johnson
          Lucas, Henderson
               Gerrard
   Downing, Sturridge, Suarez

I would go with that 11 but positionally wise I would swap Gerrard and Henderson.  It will be a very difficult game and I have to say I reckon that United will score twice and Liverpool will be under immense pressure but the funny thing is that form means nothing in this game and anything is likely to happen.

A few of us are heading over for thr tottenham game on 9th march. would it be safe enough to get the flights booked or is there still a chance that fixture could be moved due to the europa league game?

The fixtures in the second half of the season are a nightmare to plan. I think that weekend is a FA cup weekend as well, so if one of the teams are involved it likely to be moved. Europa league also likely to see games moved to Sunday. Even the West Ham game on the 6th April is likely to be moved as its Grand national weekend.

I have to admit I have a feeling of dread over this game. Can see VP taking out against our defense. 3-1 United and VP seals his place as a United legend with a hattrick.

Really really hope I'm wrong!!

Bingo

Could see the case been made for Henderson in the advanced role and Gerard beside Lucas, it would probably be the way I'd line it out but think Rodgers will go for Allen.

It wouldn't be Uniteds centre midfield physicality that I'd worry about, although they need to be pressurised as they link the danger areas and the ball passes through this area to the danger areas very quickly.

ype Raheem Sterling's name into Google and the first two searches that come up are 'Raheem Sterling kids' and 'Raheem Sterling children.'

An internet rumour spread like wildfire late last year that the recently-turned 18-year-old Liverpool star had at least three different children from three different women but the winger has finally debunked the myth.

"Some of the stuff you see is unbelievable. I've read stuff that I've got five kids and another on the way. It's just crazy and it's completely wrong," Sterling told the Daily Mirror.

The England star actually has only one daughter, Melody Rose, who was born seven months ago after a brief relationship.

"I find it funny to even think about it. If you bite at it, rise to the bait, then it makes it worse.

"I just laugh it off about some of the stuff that people say.

"But I've got no regrets. It's a difficult thing for me. I want to concentrate on my football because I'm so young. It's probably taught me to be more professional in how I go about living my life now. That's really important for me."

Sterling is currently in a happy relationship with his girlfriend Hannah with no children on the horizon.

In the interview, Sterling also paid tribute to Steven Gerrard describing the Reds captain as an "inspiration".

Sterling has been a regular in Brendan Rodgers' staring XI this season, with his performances earning a call-up to the England squad for the recent friendly against Sweden.

Gerrard is Sterling's leader for both club and country and the Jamaican-born teenager, who joined from QPR in February 2010, cannot speak highly enough of his skipper.

"He has been brilliant for me. He's always looking after me, always checking to see if I'm alright," Sterling said

"I've noticed as well that if anyone touches me on the pitch, he'll always get them straight back with a tackle. He's always looking after me, on the pitch, off the pitch."

He added: "He looked after me when I first joined the club, got into the team and when I was looking for somewhere to live. He's an inspiration and a great captain."

Liverpool will need Gerrard and Sterling to be at their best for this weekend's match against rivals and current Barclays Premier League leaders Manchester United. It will be the first time Sterling will play United at Old Trafford, the team he admits to following when he first moved to Britain.

"I need to keep that quiet," he said. "But when you start playing for a team, you immediately start supporting them because you want to do your best for your team and you always want them to do well.

"The older boys say that Manchester United is one of the hardest places to go. The pitch is massive and in the last 10 minutes they say it gets even bigger.

"Hopefully we can go there, do our best and come out with a result even though it's going to be very, very hard - a real test.

"The atmosphere in the dressing room is brilliant. We've got Gerrard and (Jamie) Carragher, they're real characters. They're going to make us know what sort of game it is, what it's like and get us ready for it.

"They've been on us all week, telling how important it is. To have people around like that is brilliant. They've been around for so long. They love to have a laugh, good personalities and you need those characters in the dressing room."

It looks like Sahin is done – and he's on his way back to Dortmund

Agent Orange

Just heard Luis Suaraz won't be shaking hands with any United player today...he doesn't want to injure his goal scoring hand.

1-0 Liverpool, Evra own goal.
Not much danger of that with Howard the Red on board.

Lecale2

Got to fancy the reds to at least get a draw today.

The Worker

Who will be the first booked between Suarez rio and vidic?

Can see all 3 end up in Howard's notepad.
