i think that goes without saying.

however the no9 issue really isn't an issue with formation. if you have someone central who is a poacher, you can easily play suarez either side. as it is he is coming in from angle nearly every attack anyway. he is more than capable of making an impact and creating/scoring goals in games from left or right side of a 3!

edit - dempsey plus a striker was/are needed. he is not a centre forward.

In the draw for the round of 32, the twelve group winners and the four third-placed teams from the Champions League group stage with the better group records will be seeded, and the twelve group runners-up and the other four third-placed teams from the Champions League group stage will be unseeded

Here is the official Uefa explanation for the next round: "The draw for the next round will be held in Nyon on Thursday 20 December, with the group winners and the four Uefa Champions League transferred teams with the best records seeded and drawn against the group runners-up and remaining four transferred teams. No team can play a club they met in the group stage or from their own association. The unseeded teams will be at home in the first legs on 14 February and away a week later. The round of 16, on 7 and 14 March, will also be drawn on 20 December, without restrictions."
