Goats Do Shave

Zamora or Jay Bothroyd would improve Liverpool!

Barca & Real are the only teams in Spain that could afford him... Real are ano go, if his Athletico roots are to go by.

Would Barca take him? They've just signed Villa...

Neither are *proven* goalscorers at premiership level so I doubt they would improve it much. Would rather have torres and kuyt than these two!!

If one or other was brought in as well as Torres, that may improve things!

Sorry i didn't mean in replacing Torres. Either would be a decent support / target man beside him.

Ah right yeh it would definitely improve our attacking options and take some burden off Torres!

surely they would be after a better quality of front man than either of thjose too to play with torres.
are eitehgr of them really much better than ngog?
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Thats why I mentioned them originally, as they would not be the type of player we would want but is likely to be along the lines of what hodgson would go for. Like Carlton Cole who we were linked with in the summer, not good. Think they would be a bit better than Ngog but nothin close to what we are looking for

Jay Boothroyd, 28 year old journey man, Bobby Zamora, 29 year old journey man, neither of them particularly good, neother of them going to add anything that N'Gog/Kuyt don't already provide, neither have any resale value.  Can't see it happening, particulalry with the Q & A session last night with the owners who more or less refused to give RH their full backing.  There will be no big money movements in January.  There has been a link with Bojan from Barca but I doubt if it will happen before the end of the season.  The way things are going, I reckon the owners have written off this season, they want to consolidate the PL position, have a decent run in the Europa League playoffs and maybe, if they get over Man U, maybe a run in the cup.  Once the new CEO is appointed his first task will be to source and appoint a new manager/head coach.  The owners have been speaking a lot to the King in recent weeks and he will have a greater role in the club.  Hodgson is a dead man walking at the minute and I reckon that the owners know that but the appointment of a new manager is key to their plan to win the PL in the next 3-5 years.

I agree with what he just said ^

Thanks, now please agree to help fund our ailing Orchestra for another "jolly", sorry educational trip, to New York :P

Hopefully he won't be trusted with any substantial money in Jan anyway. Yeh exactly why I used these two as an example of the people we don't want to bring in! Aguero on the other hand....... :)

Apart from the one clown who rang in supporting Hodgson last night almost every fan slated him. Henry said the results so far have been unacceptable. One caller in particular, Jeremy from Bristol, who had an Iriah accent said pretty much everything that we've been saying on here and I guess what most fans have been saying - Hodgson's appointment was driven my his friends in the media who continue to give him a free ride. Henry isn't a fool. I'd be amazed if Hodgson is in charge next summer.

Is there anywhere one could listen to the Q&A phone in from last night?
