Quote from: Champion The Wonder Horse on January 17, 2025, 11:10:51 PMI'm thinking Jarlath isn't doing himself any favours.
He was on a hiding to nothing on that question as he has been inconsistent and his answers weren't great. Hayes was treated differently no matter how he dresses it up
He said Hayes incident was before he was president but so was what RG was alleged to have done.

FermGael

That's a car crash of an interview.
Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

Quote from: Armagh18 on January 17, 2025, 11:21:38 PMFair play to Kielty. Jarlath looks the fool now getting involved in the incident with no conviction and letting it slide with the boy who was convicted, 0 consistency.

He made the distinction between a player and a coach. You might not agree with him but there is a distinction.
MAGA Make Armagh Great Again

Wildweasel74

Yeah, surely a convicted player gets the road first?

Quote from: armaghniac on January 16, 2025, 08:26:27 PMIt's the Late Late Show GAA Special on Friday night with All-Ireland-winning captains, GAA President Jarlath Burns, Evanne NĂ Chuilinn, Pat Spillane, and The 2 Johnnies among Patrick Kielty's guests.

Counting down to throw-in, the Late Late said: "All-Ireland-winning captains Aidan Forker (Armagh), Tony Kelly (Clare), Niamh Carmody (Kerry), and Molly Lynch (Cork) will be looking back on last summer in Croke Park, chatting about the season that was, their All-Ireland glory, and looking forward to 2025.

Is this the first LLS GAA special since the infamous one for the 125th Anniversary back in 2009?

Why was it infamous

First guest brought in to speak about it was Eamonn Dunphy, while the GAA President of the time, Nicky Brennan, was relegated to the studio audience.

Nevertheless it was tv BS rolling out Seamus Darby just to rub it in.  They did the same with Dara O'Se and one of the Tyrone ones a while back. Forced fun by the producers.

For sure, it was nonsense, I think I heard Pat saying "who's idea was this" at one stage. They didn't even interview Darby.
They get momentum, they go mad, here they go

Wildweasel74

Actually have Seamus Darby book!

It was almost exactly like this. I was waiting for an insight into Darby but he was just there for cosmetics.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Tony Baloney

Total waffle on the Kyle Hayes piece. Fair play to Kielty for sticking with it.

SaffronSports

Thought Kielty done well. Expected it to be a blue skies and green grass interview but he went after the big issues so credit to him. Jarlath I don't think handled it well and felt like he was waffling without really saying anything. He'll do well in politics.

AustinPowers

90% of  what Pat Spillane said tonight, he said on his  last Late Late appearance

Quote from: Tatler Jack on January 17, 2025, 10:51:57 PMIronic to hear him going on about the handpass when the Kerry team he was on were the biggest culprits.
Not really... that team handpassed at pace going forward and mixed it with footpassing... very exciting team not sideways sideways recycle backwards...zzz

ONeill

They handpassed it into the net.

Autocorrect said spillage but I meant Spillane. My phone might be correct with him.

The GAA is great but back to me. I'm going to list all the great things I did as club chair. And they didn't clap!

Making a decent point about the good of the GAA bit can't resist his ego.

Mr Puke Football wants more positive chat about the GAA don't ya know.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.
