That would be the banker.

Apologies...

A banker then, I presume, would be someone who works in a bank...

Italics are fun

How about a rhetorical question then.

Whats a w**ker?

Anyways, Im going to put the heap on Desert Orchid myself.

Ah come on Puck you know I was only yanking your chain...

What race is Desert going for then?? Is that your tip??

Ok I am going to go out on a limb here with a prediction...

SHINROCK PADDY to win the Champion Bumper... Trained by Paul Nolan and as big as 12/1 with Boyles, WillHill, SkyBet and BlueSquare, definitely worth an each way crack at that price...

Won its only point to point by a distance, that was the end of last March... Then won its next run out in the bumper at Gowran...

The clincher for me though was its next run at Cheltenham in November when it beat the likes of Express Leader and Lindeman out the park, won by eight lengths that day... Was up against a very good field that day with nine of the twelve having won previous and the other three runners up before...

Course form is always important but possibly nowhere more so than the undulating unforgiving track of Cheltenham...

Oh yeah, and his owner rides him!

ONL - Of course I know.

Desert Orchid won me money on the national when I was a nipper. He was grey wasnt he?

Was before my time but from old videos an all, yeah he was a grey horse... My uncle loved him as well, must have been a money spinner for all you guys of the older generation!!  ;)

Great deal for punters in the Parador on the Ormeau Rd, Belfast.

£40 for a 4 day pass - £5 bet every day, 2 pints and a meal from the bar menu. Good value!

Don't think he ever ran in the National. Won the Gold Cup once and the King George several times.

Maybe he meant the Irish National?? won this in 1990...

No idea never kicked a ball.

When we were you nger we got to pick a horse for both grand nationals from the paper.
The old man then put a pound or 50p each way on it depending on the price.

Id always thought that Desert Orchid ran in the English grand national until today.

Maybe Our Nail Loney. He nearly came a cropper at the last when well clear if I remember correctly. Don't think he was much of a price though.

Anyone any solution to following Cheltenham in work? All the gambling sites are banned in here? Will it be on any radio station in Dublin? I could only get the Friday off. Is there any website which provides text commentary which wouldnt be banned in work?
