I attended-
1999 - Oisin 2-7, Armagh 3-12 - Down 0-10.

I attended too, bandit.  That was the defining moment of the handing over of the batton of Ulster football.   It was no surprise to Down people as we knew we were a spent force by then, more than Armagh realised.  My biggest memory that day, was after the final whistle when all the Armagh supporters were excited in naïve disbelief at what they had just done.  How innocent they were then  8)

QuoteMatch I didn't - St Jarlaths v Colaiste Na Sceilge in the 2003 colleges final, apparently the best game of football ever played

game I was at would have to be Waterford V Cork Munster hurling final 2005 (I think)

one of the best matches i have ever seen, in any sport, ever.

He ran through and punched it over the bar.

If he'd kicked it he'd probably have missed! I think he has said as much himself...
That was a cracker of a match alright, even if I only got to see it on the television. That Westmeath Sligo qualifier match two years ago in Sligo was a good game also, I'd hate to not have been let go to that one!

Match I didn't attend - Mayo v Westmeath 2001

I was at that one as well. The cousin got the winning point (I think). He ran through and punched it over the bar. He didn't score that many :D It went to extra time didn't it? Up in Roscommon. It was a great game actually. Probably the game that started Westmeath's run to the 2004 Leinster title.

The game that started the revolution was the Minor Leinster won eventually in 1995 IMO. Those three games against Laois were class and a previous Westmeath team would have capitulated after the first day, lots of heart in that team. That game did indeed go to extra time and you've got some decent blood in u there somewhere AZ  ;)
Westmeath - Home of the Christy Ring Cup...

Yeah, but 2001 was the day those minors and under 21s did it against a good team in a Senior match. I remember saying back then 'F*ck it, these lads will be serious threats in Leinster now'.

As for the blood, the aul' lad hurled and kicked football for Westmeath for years, as did the uncle and cousins. But the transfusions were successful, thank God. :D

Matches I didn't attend - Sceilge and Tuam ( I was following Dundalk Schools who were in the other semi that year, couple of our men on the team). All-Ireland Final 1957: because of all the talk of it since!
St. Patricks GFC - Louth SFC Champions 2003, 2004, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2014 & 2015

Matchs I attended - The All Ireland Quarter final against Armagh in 2004.
What a day.  Wish i would have done a Fermanagh Mayo double before the match.  You would have got some odds

Ulster championship game Vs Armagh in the Athletic grounds when Dennis Hollyrood ran riot.
If only i could have told Hugh McCabe that Raymie Curran(the full back) only wanted a drink and did not wanted to be subbed.  Hollyrood would never have scored those goals on Raymie

Match I didn't attend - When Fermanagh beat Down in the early eighties in Irvinestown in the 1st round of the Ulster CHampionship.  People who were there still talk about it with great emotion.
Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

There was in deed.  Made even better by the fact that I had been in America for the whole of July and had missed the games against Donegal, Cork and Meath.  Also helped by the fact that the Tyrone supporters thought they were in the  final after we beat Armagh.  They were talking about what they would do to Kerry and then Mayo put a spanner in the works.

Match I attended:

99 Ulster Final, 2002 final.

And of course last year's Sigerson Final, probably the best game I have ever witnessed live.

Match did not attend:
Dublin v Meath saga.
