Only way we'll win a Connacht under Tanman is if Galway and Mayo descend even further than they did in 07.

The clowns have been re appointed so ye wont be seeing a Ros team anywhere near a Connacht Final till about 2012. - 3 years to get rid of Maughanitis (2009/10/11) and then hopefully enough of the decent young players we are developing these days will come through and be able to re discover what they had been taught by our under age development coaches.
In the meantime we'd better stick to the hurlin'.

re appointed ? hmm...
I heard the Roscommon county board said that Maughan was welcome to stay "if he wanted to". Not exactly open arms there.
I have respect for him though. The Galway game was lost in the heads of the Ross team who thought they had done enough, could be down to lack of experience. He deserves another year.

I know he demands a lot for players as regards fitness and especially lifestyle. If the Rossies are to develop they need a good foundation that Maughan will supply. There rumours of a bit of a drink culture and bad attitudes towards fitness in the county set up. Maughan is the mercenary that will turn that around and get rid of players not dedicated to the cause.
