I mean, 2 wonder goals from united - but Arteta got it wrong yesterday. Felt like it was a game crying out for Martinelli down the left, as much as I enjoy super leandro. Odegard is very ineffective at the moment. Arsenal would be hosed without Rice, what a player he is becoming.

Saliba seems shakey on the ball, I feel like he's contributed to 2-3 goals this year with poor passes at the back, but my brother argues the stats wouldn't back that up.

Badly missing the italian lad at the back, he is a real threat going forward as well. Hincapie isn't really a forward thinking defender.

tiempo

Agreed, the players were there to get 3 points yesterday, just error in deployment
3 points from 2 games against Utd isn't going to lose you the title any year
They need a run of 5-6-7 league wins asap

ONeill

The yippish behaviour yesterday was a mindfcuk though. When they went 1-0 up, it was as if they were afraid to go 7 points ahead again. Lead in the legs. Saliba started the rot and the rest of the team were affected by it. Bizarre.

It has to come down to Arteta. I think he needs Eileen Drewry in to hypnotise them into thinking it's the CL.

Also, who would want to be a striker on that side? Almost a redundant job.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Yes as they have great pedigree in that competition.

ONeill

That was a bit better yesterday. I'd still have Saka over him, but Madueke adds a bit of madness to the attack. Not sure if even he knows where his feet will go, but sometimes that works.

Sorta ballsy of Arteta to drop the captain yesterday but it'll be even ballsier if he does it again. Havertz and Gyokeres have a bit of a natural understanding.

Odegaard did well when he came on and the game was open.

ONeill

That was a bit more enjoyable today. Good to see a few players trying their luck from distance. Hard to know if that's because Saka and Odegaard are more formulaic and do the same thing predictably.

One of Trossard's best games to date. Tortured their right back.

The squad is showing its strength now. Don't think there's such a thing as their strongest first 11.

Squad depth is why they're top and going for the quad, 22 internationals and a couple of prospects, serious depth

Personally I'd put Lewis-Skelly left wing, Trossard was OK today but they need to carry more threat on the left

ONeill

I thought the left side was the winning of the game today. 1-0 and 2-0 came from there.

Lewis-Skelly is rightly down the pecking order now. He had two fairly poorish games recently. I don;t trust him.

Agree. LSK has regressed this season. Trossard was superb yesterday, has really stepped up from a good player to a great player.

Saliba is some defender, but does he make anyone else nervous when he's on the ball?

Jim Bob

Eze down the pecking order as well
He was oodeguards stand in at the time of his injury and did well
Yesterday he didn't make the starting line up with oodeguard out again

In the terms of overall quality how would the current squad compare to the last Arsenal Premier league title winning squad

Goalkeepers Jens Lehmann,    Graham Stack

Defenders Lauren, Sol Campbell, Kolo Touré, Ashley Cole    Pascal Cygan, Gaël Clichy, Martin Keown

Midfielders Freddie Ljungberg, Patrick Vieira,Gilberto Silva, Robert Pirès    Edu, Ray Parlour

Forwards Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp,José Antonio Reyes, Sylvain Wiltord, Nwankwo Kanu, Jérémie Aliadière

Top Scorer: Thierry Henry won the Premier League Golden Boot with 30 goals.

Defensive Record: The team conceded only 26 goals all season, with Jens Lehmann playing every minute.

The Unbeaten Run: This title was part of a record-breaking 49-game unbeaten streak that spanned from May 2003 to October 2004.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

moonster

Did Arsenal have to wait until last home to receive league trophy? League will be wrapped up on coming weeks.

More strength in depth now at GK, defence and midfield but not at striker position.
