For Melania, the new documentary bankrolled by Jeff Bezos, the numbers speak for themselves. At London's flagship Vue cinema, one of the UK's largest cinema operators, just ONE ticket was sold for the Friday 3:10 pm screening. The 6:00 pm showing? Two tickets booked.

This is the same film Bezos poured millions into licensing and distributing, directed by Brett Ratner, recently named in the Epstein files, all while Bezos was cutting jobs at The Washington Post.

He's funding a 3rd season of rings of power, I wouldn't pay much heed.

Yes. They're everywhere. Unlike official stats for the political views of domestic abusers in Ireland (I know it wasn't you looked for them).

Sweden had 421 reported rapes in 1975, as against 6, 913 in 2015, and 10, 167 in 2024. Coincidentally.

That's 96 reported rapes per 100, 000 in Sweden. England and Wales is 117 per 100, 000.

Research conducted by the Centre for Migration Control shows that in 2024 foreign nationals accounted for between 28% and 34% of convictions for "sexual assault on a female" across England and Wales.

Top countries in Europe for cases of sexual violence (including rape, obviously) are Sweden, France, Iceland, Belgium, Denmark, Finland. Iceland is a bit of an outlier in the diversity stakes. Cases are 100 or more per 100, 000. Figures for Britain not given, for some reason. Ireland is mid-way with 55 per 100, 000.

Less diverse countries seem to have fewer cases of sexual violence - Albania, Hungary, Lithuania, Macedonia, Serbia, Poland are bottom of the list with fewer than 10 per 100, 000.

Those figures are for 2023.
