In fairness Indy, his podcasts aren't bad. I think he knows himself he was a messer, but he definitely seems to have a rapport with players and managers and they have very good interviews. Liam Kearns, John Evans, Kevin McStay, Mickey Harte were all on it. He was even onto Conor Sweeney on the bus back from Dublin this week. He has his soapbox issues which get old, but generally he's quite interesting. I'd listen to him all day before Brolly or Spillane.

He even has Barry Cahill and Conal Keaney on it as regular guests, and has had Senan Connell, so he can't be completely anti Dubs.

He went to college with Cahill ( to be fair he must have attended every university in Ireland) - Connell would crawl over hot coals to see the other end of a microphone - you can be "absolutely" sure of that. No surprise there.

he gave Keaney by all accounts an opportunity to give Cunningham the same grief Keaney has been giving him on Twitter lately. Keaney's standing currently with a lot of people involved with hurling in Dublin are at his lowest ebb for his all advised comments on Twitter. yet he never asked any of the Dublin hurling management to give their views because it wouldn't be sexy- so stirring the shit is what Parkinson excels at.

Brolly may be mis-guided in many ways, and I don't agree with much he says but I genuinely believe nobody cares more about the ethos of the Associaton then he does. For Parkinson it's just a cash-cow- like it always was. I've no time for him or any other player who come to Dublin to milk the system to play club football

I'd say Brollys analysis is largely agenda driven and mostly rails against the dilution of the amateur status and the growing commercialism of the GAA. He is a clever fellow and chooses to tilt his analysis towards an anti GPA, pro amateur volunteer status basis. It's almost become a personal crusade with him and the analysis of the matches (of which he is CAPABLE of analysing very well) is often secondary. Parkinson is on the gravy train and as you rightfully state, has milked the system. I do find him one of the more entertaining broadcasters though.

He's really not. His opinions on the game, teams and performances are directly dictated by who he meets and mines for opinions during the week before games.

The Aristocrat

I agree with Indiana. Scruff Parkinson ( convicted criminal by the way)  and Ewan Mc Hatesdublin are in partnership together to write inaccurate, falsified data articles without 100% proof or back up etc. They play to the gallery of mainly uneducated people of country persuasion of the anti-Dublin message and fail to recognise the thousands of Volunteers that have been pretty much alienated in the media for Dublin's success.
