GAA stars training ahead of International Rules series 23rd of October

Ireland's team selection for the 2010 International Rules Series which will be played in Limerick on the 23rd and in Croke Park 30th of October was underway at Parnell park over the weekend.

But training had a sour note to it when John Galvin(Limerick) landed very heavily and now has to wait on results of an MRI scan on a potentially serious pelvis injury.

There were no Down or Cork players at training as they prepare for next weekends All-Ireland Final

Is that all from tyrone? i would have thought that at least one of the McMahons would have made it

tyroneboi

Sorry, I meant them 2 in addition to the 2 McMahons and Sean Cavanagh who were mentioned previously.

The Biff

Surely there have to be places for Sean Marty Lockhart and Ciaran McManus?  This game is second nature to those two.   ;)
Never argue with a fool; He'll bring you down to his level and then beat you on experience.

LOL - Harte is obviously sending up all the players he won't need next year

Looks like the Irish should have a great chance of winning with the weak squad announced by the Aussie's

Weak squad? Are you serious? IMO this is one of the best Aussie squads thats been picked in years.

They've gone and picked players that are suited to the game rather than just the big names - mobile, hard runners.

The likes of Jonny Brown - one of the greatest AFL players around - wouldnt be suited to the International Rules, but Adam Goodes, Brad Green, Kieran Jack, MCVeigh, Montana, Travis Varcoe are all ideal.
Hasta la victoria siempre

Over the Bar

Is there no chance of Geezer coming out of retirement for this one?  He was the only man on the field who manged to beat the shit out of his marker in croker last time out!

STREET FIGHTER

From memory Lockhart looked after himself that day also.
