Great board lads, I enjoy reading everyones posts. Has anybody noticed that for the All Ireland Hurling final on Sunday that the odds for a draw are 9/1. But lads if you bet halftime-fulltime you will get odds of 17/1 can someone explain this to me

For example £1 draw @9/1 = £10  betting 70mins

Using halftime/ fulltime   £1  Kilkenny/Draw@20/1 = £21
                                  £1  Limerick/Draw@20/1 = £21
                                  £1 draw/draw@66/1= £67

Do you getter better odds using halftime/fulltime???

No. you can't really compare the odds because it's a different bet and the effective odds you end up with depend on the status at half time. You have to spend £3 to cover the full time draw in your second scenario. If you win (i.e. it's a draw at full time), the odds you wind up with depend on the half-time score.

If one team was leading at half time, you get £21 back for your £3 - odds of 6/1.
If it was a draw at half time, you get £67 back for your £3 - odds of 21.3/1.
