I have no problem buying various club tickets but my reluctance now, is that it been used to pay outside managers and alot of money not going in to the actual club. I think this is a big turn off for Clubs trying to sell tickets.

Tell them to p1ss off and stick to their own county for fundraising. I believe they were at Down league games recently also.

The draw for the house was a long time ago. 15+ years I'd say. They did get in bother with gambling commission laws last year for a caravan draw but that was all cleared up.

Heres another question - has anyone on the board won anything on these draws? I've bought my share of tickets and never had a sniff of a prize.

The Trap

Square Ball not only do you never hear of anyone you know winning but you never hear or see who wins at all.
Months and months of build up to a draw and then when the draw happens......nothing.
It's a bit like the clubs who post about all their games but only put up results when they win lol

Neighbour of mine won a house from a club draw, that was over 23 years ago, needless to say they moved back to
Magheralin I think she was from, though he was Newtownabbey, would have been a strange place for him to move to lol
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Ah now they all have legit winners just wondering if anyone had any luck over the years on the board.

Do a lot do their draw on Facebook live?

I bought a ticket a couple years ago , and the  draw was on that FB live

In the process of  drawing the winners , they  drew one name and says he's won 2nd  prize (then placed his ticket on a table). Then they proceeded  to draw the 1st prize  winner.

I  remember thinking oh they're in trouble  here.  Technically the 2nd prize winner  wasn't actually in the hat  for the chance  to win 1st prize, so could have demanded  the 1st prize also (10k I think).

He obviously didn't realise  this , and the club in question could have been out another  7 or 8 grand had he pushed it

My aunt won a house back in the earlier 2000's. Which was great. I sold her the ticket. Had 5 tickets to sell each, and bought two myself. 2/5 chance... 🥲

At least you don't think about it

If i'm in different place and stopped in a shop/garage and there would be a £1 or £2 euro lotto, I'd do it occasionally.

Still waiting in hope for that phonecall the following mid-week.  :)
