I remember reading the Book 'History of the GAA in Tyrone' written during the Centenary Year (1984) and read that Moortown had a Hurling side which won the Derry League during the Early 70's.

Didn't Pearse McAleer (or even one of his Brothers) play on that side? Also, did any Ardboe man play for them (God forbid)?

Also, thanks to the joys of Wikipedia, I found out that The Loup had a Hurling side which won TWO Derry Championships during the Mid/Late 60's. I was talking to Joey 'Long Kesh' Corey about this at the Loup Club's Bar prior to a Table Quiz last Year. He said the Father of the Himpheys from Dungiven played on that side (he lived in Magherafelt then).
Stand up for the Ulstermen!
