What are they

A shower of tools if you as me. Comparing the fairly level headed treatment by the Gardai to treatment meted out by the RUC is absolute and utter c**k. You tube videos show them up for what they are, a slightly organised group of scumbags out for the day, and taint any proper protest against the mess that was Anglo

I think the best comparison between the RUC and the Gardai is that the Gardai were acting politically which is what the RUC did. The force used can't  be compared. I agree that they will taint other protests but that is due to them acting out needlessly and that view of them being hieghtened in the media in particular RTE and the Indo.

They are their own worst enemies sometimes. They do exactly what the Gardai want and then the Gardai do exactly what they want. The difference is that the Gardai have the entire workings of the state and powerfull vested interests to help them after the event while eirigi have nothing but a web site nobody looks at.
