best way is to decide where you want to go, find a company over there (email as many as possible) then if you are prepared to fund it all yourself get in touch with usit, the girlfriend did this and spent a year in San Diego, not sure on the name of the visa or the cost but she did all the searching herself then sorted it through usit!

DD,

It will be hard enough to find a job in the states with the economy. You will have to fill a special needs postion that can not be filled locally to get the company to sponsor you. What kind of work are you looking for?

she was working for elivelife.com in marketing, although there is a downturn you will not need to be specialist if you find your own employment (small company prob better) and fund it yourself, would speak to usit as a first stage

I spent 5 months in USA last year through USIT. It was on a J1 visa which then only lasted 5 months however I think it has changed. I think the J1 can be extended to one year so your first stop is definately USIT. Get your visa advice through them. Dont buy travel with them tho. Send you round the world for a shortcut!

Exployment is not going to be easy tho. Have a few friends out there at the minute who are getting it tight.

A friend of mine joined Invest NI as a graduate and worked for a couple of years in San Hose with them.

First Derivatives based in Newry send a lot of graduates around the world, particularly London and New York. Think you have to have a Maths/Science/Finance Degree

there is a J visa now that you can go for. once you apply within 12 months of graduation so it would suit you. it gives you a one year visa but you have to get a job within 2 months and it must be in a related field to your degree.
my mate is in nyc now doing it, but he got it hard to get a job.

Theres a significant risk that if you dont get sent to NY you will be in Newry however.

Use better English on your applications would be my advice.
