This is often said but I'm not sure. Armagh got quite a few very handy close in free's in the second half from the ref which kept the scores close before the Armagh goal.

Armagh were only ahead for a few minutes near the end as well which is strange if they were indeed the best team on the day. Im probably in a minority of one but I always felt that game was a bit overrated. The second half was very good and the atmosphere was great but the first half was pretty turgid. The final was a much better match IMO.

Would agree with that to some extent. There certainly was better football played in the final with some great scores. You could argue the same for the Dublin drawn game. The excitement and tension in the 2nd half of the Armagh game wasn't quite matched in the other 2 though.

Twas a great atmosphere at that geame all right but the best atmos[here at an armagh game ever was the 2002 semi against dublin. magic.
