Just looking at the display of names available and selected shows how poor the standard of football is/was in Monaghan. Never heard of most of them. Picking McAneney proves that point

sheelinside

still having nightmares about ray maccarron selling about 5 players of the cavan defense a dummy and hitting a sweet >:( finish.
about 93 i think, maybe 94.

thats my major memory of him, super game that day- was he that good consistently?
or did he just rise to the occasion against us?

Who is this "McAneney" you write about?

Nudie, Ciaran Murray and Ray McCarron have 5 All Star awards between them and most of those I mentioned have 2/3 Ulster Championship winners medals to their name and a NFL medal too. But I guess if you never heard of them there must be a good reason for it.

Or maybe you're just not very informed.
