Care to elaborate Pints, as i have often wondered about these schemes, and whether any has ever troubled to investigate them

Well all I know is there's a direct debit goes out of her account every month, no major amount, ten or 15 quid or something.  And she gets letters and pictures from this child (yeah right).  I'm pretty sure the child is from indonesia (supposedly), these letters she gets could be a page long but whatever chairty it is provides the translation which is only every about 2 lines.  plus, the information keeps changing, liek the child could have one brother in one letter and 3 brothers in a letter a month later       

And she still gives them money!!!!  It sounds very dodgy!


on the other hand, I know a fella and he sponsored a child also, was doing it for a couple of years and got a letter from the chairty saying the child had died, her friend had fallen down a well and the child he sponsored jumped in after the friend to try and save her
