Hello there, my 1st thread, hope to reach 2 pages on this   :D

I have just started going to a gym to try and strengthen up a bit and get fitter obviously, however i have just realised that I dislike lifting weights, mainly because i find it boring and also because I'm usually beside some fecker who is the size of Vin Diesel lifting about 20 times the weight I would be capable of!  Does anyone have a program or suggest exercises to strengthen you arms and core area without having to lift big weights?

Thanks in advance

Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance?

I dont like them myself, there are heavy bands that you can buy that do the same job, they are elasticated and you can stand on them and work your tri's and bi's and lats etc, they work really well.

Avariation with a bit more pace and interest is to do circuits - either by yourself or in a class. in a class you get to watch how the females are with their technique...

Do some push-ups when you get out of bed every day. You come on very quickly at them.

Try manning up, and being a f**king man!  :P  ;)

It often works!

(sorry couldnt resist... running joke among my friends and a cure for any injury, ailment or complaint someone has!  ;))

If I were you I would get a program. Set goals and targets.
Idle lifting is boring and pointless. I find the treadmill and bike boring in the gym so I just lift weights.

Eventually you will get into it. Burning the energy and seeing results gets addictive.
