Liverpool away to the dogs, new players or not, the manager doesn't seem as good as previous. City turned it around after a horror show last year.

Klopp was in a similar position several times. It remains to be seen if Slot can get them back challenging for the title next season, but he has more than earned the chance to rebuild the team.

Well deserved win for City, and chances are they would have won anyway, but that disallowed goal was a joke.

It was a ridiculous decision to disallow it but like you I don't think it would have mattered but who knows maybe it would.
You really know it's not your day then when a half arsed shot is deflected in right before half time for the second goal.

I'm undecided if the international break is a good thing or not now, you'd like for them to be playing sooner but maybe a break will help.

In comparison Klopp won 26 of his first 50 while Fagan and Kenny both had 29.
Some going for Slot. In fairness to Klopp he didn't inherit a great squad but for Slot,a  guy who was supposed to struggle in his first season, 36/50 is a fantastic return.

The challenge is to keep doing it. Conte won a league in his first year at Chelsea and was sacked after his second season. Salah and VVD staying will be a big boost but the league has been poor enough this season with Liverpool the only club playing at a high level. They'll get it tougher next season for sure but at the end of the day Liverpool's name will go on the trophy and it doesn't say everyone else was shite on the roll of honour. Deserved champs but I think they'll definitely need to bring in a few good players to defend it.

Jota. Squad and first team upheaval with new players not yet integrated. Woeful defensive organization, made worse by their ineffectiveness at then breaking down teams protecting leads.

At the very least they have to get the defensive set up sorted out so they stop conceding such soft goals.

They'd a great start to the season so I'd say while Jota's death will be on their minds they managed very well from the start of the season..

Time to find a new VVD?
