Not convinced that odds-on is in any way justified.

Hard luck to Mullinalaghta. Small margins.
Comhghairdeas Colmcille.

LaurelEye

Colmcille 1-7 Mullinalaghta 0-8

Congratulations to Colmcille who were more efficient at converting their chances in awful conditions.

Shamrock Shore

Conditions were indeed awful. A sucker punch at the end but dems the breaks.

Good football found it hard to thrive in the weather but, that said, it was an entertaining game for the neutral. Colmcille only had very brief spells of domination and, had Mullinalaghta exploited their long spells of dominance, then they would have won well.

Well done Colmcille - I fancied ye from a while back. First title since 2008.

Laurel - will Mullinalaghta be at the well again next year?

Yeah, we really didn't take our opportunities - certainly not to the same extent Colmcille did. Only one forward out of six scored which is not a great outcome even though a couple of those scores were awesome.

I would hope so. We were missing one starting player and another potential starter with injury and another who went travelling after the Mostrim game.

Killoe versus Colmcille will probably be the match of the round with most people's favourites, extremely narrowly beaten in the league final, facing off against the outgoing champions who had a disappointing (to put it mildly) league campaign and are facing next season in Division 2 in the absence of any Deus Ex Machina. Clonguish strike me as being the most incorrectly priced of the remainder - I don't think they have a championship in them this year but they have the capacity to surprise.
