While economic, financial and reconciliation issues need investigated and planned for, why would any country not want to reunite a quarter of their land that was taken and is being ruled by another? Just out of a sense of respect for themselves and their national identity.

No complaints. Kerry better team on the day by a distance. McDermott some prospect, his oul boy knew where the net was as well.

Quote from: DaleCooper on May 28, 2026, 05:35:45 PMLapse concentration misjudged ball , even mistimed jump. Otherwise a solid day out for Teague like Roscommon keeper who similarly was punished for one error.

Yeah - can't fault him too much. Defenders at that level need to mark from side/front and will inevitably get caught the odd time against top forwards. Teague defends aggressively which I like.

Defender tried to wrap his hand round the ball, ended up behind the attacker with his hand still wrapped around the ball. Free in all day long.

It's always the Gough show. Tyrone did themselves no favours but the Kennedy non free then the McCurry over carry call was predictable from him.

Tyrone showing a bit of doggedness for the second game in a row. Not a bad trait to have.

If people are complaining about you, you're near the top of the pile. Happened Dublin for years, Tyrone for years, Meath etc. Not too much complaining about them teams now.

Looks a good player but should have another 2 years at u20? Not a great look if moving due to non selection for u20 at 17/18.

Sesko should have put the game to bed with his first touch but got there in the end.

United still a work in progress. A Europa League place is a must this year, maybe nick fourth.

Going to need at least 2 midfielders in the Summer. Casemiro is so important to this United side - he'll be hard to replace.

We've had plenty of false dawns over the last 10 years but feels like we're taking small steps forward.

Quote from: toby47 on November 26, 2025, 09:54:04 AMAnyone know anywhere decent to park for a quick get away from the 3Arena to back up North?

Concert tomorrow night, and would like to get away sharp. Made the mistake of parking in the 3Arena underground last time and sat bumper to bumper for almost an hour and a half.

Am heading to Hans Zimmer myself. You are in for a treat of a gig.

Quote from: Jerome on November 18, 2025, 07:06:25 PMI can understand the amalgamation thing, it would mean the players could play at a higher level which would be better for their development. However what about the actual grade 4 teams, if teams are amalgamating who are the grade 4 teams going to play? Only going to be about 5 teams in grade 4

That's the only benefit I see with amalgamation. But surely it should be a last resort for clubs. If you have numbers then play under your own club. It's up to the committee to develop what you have.

If you amalgamate with numbers then weaker lads will ultimately get left behind and get weaker.

I know years ago Killyman people would say the old Naomh Mhuire team ruined them. When players ultimately stayed or went to Edendork.

That is nonsense.

Quote from: thewobbler on November 06, 2025, 11:08:10 AMI happened across a wonderful little town last year called Siegnosse Le Penon (Le Penon is the coastal area of the bigger town down the road called Siegnosse.

One of the best beaches I've ever stood on. All low rise blocks rather than high rise hotels. Extremely bike and pedestrian friendly; you can walk for miles without encountering any real incline. A really nice promenade with a mix of restaurants and takeaways. Pretty much only French people in town. And a handy run from Biarritz airport. Eating and drinking a little more expensive than here.

Best beach I ever stood on was Tramore Beach dunfanaghy, sometimes beauty isn't that far away.

Agreed. Tramore beach is something else. On a Sunday morning there are usually horses galloped round the beach. Muckish Mountain in the background. Breathtaking.
