Quote from: weareros on July 09, 2026, 10:30:24 PMI suspect that will prove another example of an African team not getting fair play. Other way around and a handball in lead up
is checked. 2-0 up now.
Quote from: Laois man on July 08, 2026, 10:16:24 AMPlus only 4 teams in the U20 A Cship this year that's poor.
Quote from: Border Rail 26 on July 07, 2026, 02:11:33 PMBallyfin might have a very hard year.
Casletown should win the Senior B. Them, Harps and camross will be the 3 teams to watch out for in the next few years. Others just don't have enough quality coming through.

Quote from: GAAFan2003 on June 30, 2026, 05:02:50 PMWith all the talk at national level about increasing playing numbers in hurling and the standard of hurling in lower tier counties, I'm wondering is any work being done to promote it in the east of the county?
Have any clubs ever tried to get a nursery or underage team going in the last 20 years?
I heard of a number of kids from Kileen, Graiguecullen and Killeshin who play for Carlow Town, but due to GAA rules they won't be allowed to do that after u12.
Other options available are Ballypickas or Park which are 25/30 minutes drive away.
I would imagine that between the 2 Arles, Ballylinan, Barrowhouse, Graiguecullen and Killeshin that there would be enough to get a hurling underage team together. Add in a few extra from Joesphs & Crettyard who might opt in if not already with a hurling team.
Or is it just a case that these areas are mainly football and the help or appetite for hurling isnt there among the parents/coaches?
