Quote from: Rossfan on October 06, 2026, 05:12:25 PMIsn't that €8 specifically for the players?

Greyhound racing should be abolished!

Why?
It's cruel and serves no function beyond gambling.

Whatever about banning, there is no justification for taxpayer funding.

Youghal track got 759k in funds to redo the stand and an annual 50k in running fees. Average crowd - 3. They have run meetings with no paying punters. Remember that next time your club is denied a grant.

What's cruel about it?

Quote from: Maghera was Black on October 06, 2026, 11:12:25 AMI think its the year the Martin's finally complete the trilogy and get that long awaited intermediate title. I think only a handful of clubs have won all 3 of senior, intermediate and junior titles... Eoghan Rua, Glen, Glenullin and the Guigan?

Slaughneil?
Loup?
Ballinascreen?

Hurson had a horrible game. In particular with any tackle on Canavan. Harte avoided a very clear black card that would have avoided in a red card. Brutal.

Will it really be disruptive?
Have a bit of a lie in, and it will all be over when you get up?

Are you actually being serious with this?

I would expect a High Court challenge to the determination. The biggest surprise to me is the input from the PSNI.

Permission has been granted. I fear this will open Pandora's box.

Errigal deserved winners, however, the two teams were refereed to completely different standards. If that's the best official that Tyrone have to offer for as an important game as it was then it speaks volumes.

Andriy Shevchenko was arguably still at the top of his game when he moved to Chelsea.

Di Maria to United? Morientes to Liverpool? Not to many succeed after leaving Madrid in fairness. Varane was crocked when he left them.

Quote from: Baile Brigín 2 on August 31, 2026, 10:44:01 AMKen Early, for once, makes a good point in today's Irish Times.

If Barcola does go to Liverpool it will be the only established star from a top club to move to England in this window. 14 of the most expensive 20 signings this window involve English clubs but mostly within England. He argues that mega stars aren't interested in England and clubs tend not to risk money on players who haven't proven themselves in the EPL.

Started me thinking. For all it's money very few genuine stars move to England at their peak.

I can really only think of a handful of players who did.

Veron.
Haaland.
Torres.

Then it's the maybes. Zola? Juninhio?

Anyone else?

Pogba's return to United?
