How would non award of Dublin goal have been changed? As has been said many times, the replays DO NOT show the ball crossing the line.

Do we want referees to look at a replay and go "ah yeah, sure this is probably what happened, I'll change my mind"?

I get that, would need a dedicated goal line camera that I'm sure wouldn't be most challenging thing to overcome. It's not a perfect system but this year has had so many big calls gone wrong that is costing teams a fair shot.

What system does the pansyball have in place? Realistically if it's wild expensive not worth it for the once in a blue moon theres controversy but if it's something that could added to hawk eye easily enough then why not

If there's simple technology that doesn't take over the game and lead to long reviews, why not. But Hawkeye was more needed for hurling more than anything else. For football if I had to choose one I'd much rather have competent umpires over Hawkeye.

But there is a valid question here. Who are the umpires? Are they qualified? I wouldn't go down the VAR route, but that was an appalling decision because the umpire, who appeared to be checking out the ladies in the stand, simply couldn't have made amy decision

That's what I'm saying. Bringing technology into it is not fixing the problem if the problem is umpire selection. Hurling there's a need for Hawkeye due to the sliothar size, speed and puck height. Shouldn't need it in football.

You've never done umpire, have you? Judging shots that are higher than the posts isn't always easy. You've to decide whether the ball would have clipped the post even fractionally. You'd be guessing.

Did anyone get an opportunity to discuss it? Were the trustees acting on our behalf? Is it acceptable that such a monetary asset/such a landmass at the heart of Antrim GAA is transferred to another's possession without discussion.

All of the above comments are accurate however I have sympathy for Antrim county board. They did what they believed was right at the time to progress the project.

I don't. They were hateful hoors. They sent threatening letters from O'Hare solicitors to people, including many past players, officials, supporters and our only ever football all star for simply being a member of a social club that raised and continues to raise a lot of funds for Antrim GAA.

No one mentioning the political involvement, the virtue signalling has begun early ahead of next May, who's holding them to account for their role in all this?  So have we really freed ourselves from the real major decision makers? However I do concur with you, ya do da get what ya deserve.

It was mentioned recently about Louth's build. I know people have commented that there are significant differences between the two but it's difficult to understand (for me, anyway) how Louth are aiming to deliver a 14,000 capacity stadium for around £20 million and at the same time there is talk of scaling Casement back to a capacity which isn't a boot in the balls away from that even though there is more than 10 times the money available.
I know 10 times the money will not get you 10 times the capacity but you're bate for double the capacity? Somebody make it make sense.

Such is my level of trust at this stage, I sense the latest could just be a facade to keep the project in the news and have the twitterbots bitching at each other about orange & green.

It seems there is over £200 million available if they want it.
Talk is Stormont is likely to raise their share to £100 million to compensate for inflation. £50 million from Westminster (though saw somewhere GAA are reluctant to accept this?), £42 million from Dublin and £15 million from the GAA.

I, too, don't understand how the scale back is so great considering.
