Senior final:

Killoe v Clonguish, Sunday, 4pm

Paddy Power (https://www.paddypower.com/gaelic-games/longford-club-football?tab=outrights):

Clonguish 6/4 5/6 8/11 4/6 11/8 10/11 4/6
Killoe 15/8 9/4 3/1 5/1 7/2 2/1 11/10

Also, I see DD is reffing the Junior Final. Has had a good year stepping up to big games this year and seems to have a steady head for it.

Are we not world-renowned for steady heads in Mullinalaghta?

What are your thoughts for the Senior Final on Sunday?

I see a referee has been appointed who will absolutely not draw any attention to himself or be likely to cause any drama.

(And this, like the appointee as county senior manager, seems to have been an open secret for several weeks now.)

Mostrim return to senior after the briefest of intervals (well, briefest other than Carrickedmond's frequent non-relegations) while Connollys continue to wait for their first silverware this side of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Jimmy Jests' commentary worth the €16.99 in itself.

I am afraid we did as much as I expected against the Connollys. We are going to have an awful time of it over the next few years. I fear we are heading for junior.

Intermediate final:

Mostrim 1-16 Seán Connolly's 1-11

Semi-final replay:

Clonguish 2-12 Dromard 0-10

I suppose that confirms that the boat was missed.

Connollys will be favourites on Sunday, but it seems that they don't handle favouritism too well.

Here's hoping.

*thumbs-up*

Replay:

Clonguish v Dromard, Saturday, 5pm

Paddy Power (https://www.paddypower.com/gaelic-games/longford-club-football?tab=outrights):

Clonguish 6/4 5/6 8/11 4/6 11/8 10/11
Killoe 15/8 9/4 3/1 5/1 7/2 2/1
Dromard 20/1 10/1 11/2 9/4 3/1

Dromard may have missed the boat last Sunday, but we'll see for definite.

Senior semi-final:

Clonguish 1-10 Dromard 2-7

No extra-time for semi-finals. (There is for replays.)

Frankie formally going for the job everyone knows he's been promised for the last twelve months.

Semi-finals:

Abbeylara 0-12 Killoe 1-21

A surprise it was so one-sided?

A bit, yes, perhaps mainly through underestimating Killoe (always unwise). Abbey really only put up a fight after the final whistle blew

Semi-finals:

Abbeylara 0-12 Killoe 1-21

Semi-finals:

Both games in Pearse Park.

Abbeylara v Killoe, Saturday, 5.15pm
Clonguish v Dromard, Sunday, 4.15pm

Paddy Power (https://www.paddypower.com/gaelic-games/longford-club-football?tab=outrights):

Clonguish 6/4 5/6 8/11 4/6 11/8
Dromard 20/1 10/1 11/2 9/4
Killoe 15/8 9/4 3/1 5/1 7/2
Abbeylara 16/1 10/1 15/2 9/1 4/1

Big sums clearly going on on Dromard which may be more the result of enthusiasm than experience.

Surprised with the Intermediate result. I know Mostrim have pedigree at Senior but I felt Grattans would make the breakthrough this year and they would relish a crack at the Senior sides next year. Good young talent there. I think their day will come yet.

Mostrim seemed to have a lot of younger players today (or at least ones who weren't there in the group stage) to balance the older heads and it definitely told both at midfield and upfront.

Intermediate Championship semi-finals:

Grattans 1-10 Mostrim 2-12

Seán Connollys 3-13 Ballymahon 0-7
