What way does the championship draw work after Wednesday's games ?
Can you have teams who have already played each other meeting in round 3?

I think there are no repeat pairings until quarter-final (not 100% on this) but Glen, Bridge, M'felt and whoever wins from Ballinderry/Glenullin can't play each other in quarter finals. In the round three draw the teams that won their first game and lost the second are on one side (Bellaghy, Loup, B'Derry/Glenullin, Steelstown) the rest (lost first, won second) on the other. No repeat pairings here I believe.

90% sure you can stream to a smart tv from a phone/tablet. Can definitively log in via the browser on a fire stick - it's fiddly though.

Seen a thing on facebook/instagram outlining the underage structures across the country with the majority of counties (20) using even ages, 5 using odd ages & 7 using a mix.  Just wondering if its accurate.

Derry's structures are
U7.5 (p2&3), U9.5 (p4&5) & U11.5 (p6&7) for go-games
Then u14, u16 & u18

You have 3 years at u14 if you've a "good" birthday.

In Derry there was an u12.5 league last year, mostly clubs with bigger numbers, to give players just out of u11.5 competitive football - not sure if it will be scheduled for the 2026 year group.

The U12.5 league in Derry was organised by the clubs, there was no county board involvement. It was a series of challenge games, mostly 13 a side on shortened pitches with the option of playing 15 if numbers allowed. No scores kept (though all the lads playing always know the score, same as gogames). It did tend to be the bigger clubs, think there were around 10 clubs involved, who had enough to field a team of mostly first years. Worked pretty well to give those lads who weren't ready for U14s some football and as a bridge from 9 a side Gogames to full pitch 15 a side games - it's a big jump. Apparently the Derry youth officers are looking at the U11.5-U14 situation at the moment.

I don't understand why we need a £6000 hooter for club games or lower division league games. Surely ref can blow the final whistle which indicates last play? He/she then blows again when ball goes out of play for end of match. It's not rocket science.

This is the post I read, an outburst from a mentor with no verbal abuse towards the ref, he could have been shouting to the sky for all we know but hey the experts on here are many and so well informed.

First off, they won the free, a close in free and from being a point up they lost that by a mentor, who is well informed on what they say on the line will have a bearing on decisions made by the ref, its to stamp out dickheads on the line from shouting off their mouth.

He roared it out, and if you think he was just shouting it to the sky then you're just being obtuse. He'll not do it again and the ref won't have to 'puff out his chest' and move the ball the other direction.

The mentor in question was doing the line over beside where the free was, so there was no question who was shouting and that he was shouting at the ref. The ref's problem, he said after, was the bad language used at an underage game. It was a minor enough incident (the language used wasn't anything particularly terrible or out of the ordinary - 'f**k sake, that's a f**king black card' or something along those lines). The free reversal was a clear turning point in the game. Lesson learned for any mentors/coaches who were there.
Not sure if he should have carded the mentor tbh, I'm not a ref, but does a yellow card matter in any way to a mentor? A 13m is a far bigger deterrent than a card.

Is the losers draw seeded by league positions or open draw?

Seeded by position finished in championship group - ie 1st v 4th losers in one pot, 2nd v 3rd losers in another.

Tyronie buttin' in here to ask a question - how does the Recreational Reserve football league work in Derry? For example, who's eligible or not eligible to play, are teams smaller than 15, is there less game time etc. I tried looking for details on the county website but info there is few & far between on many things let alone on this competition?

Generally played on a Friday night. They try to make it 15 a side but common sense prevails if either team are short. Anyone not registered as a senior or reserve is eligible I think.

Anyone can play in the league I think, I think the only stipulation is that come championship - anyone who has played a minute of senior or reserve football is unable to play recreational reserves.

Full rules apply eg 15 a side, 30 mins each half etc. However as Silverhill says if a team is short it can be agreed to play 13 or 14 a side. And also as a lot of the teams don't train the referee's can allow teams to have water breaks etc if they wish.

Each club has to submit a list of 30ish senior/reserve players at the start of the season, anybody on this list is ineligible for rec ressies. Aside from that lads can move between 3rds/reserves during the league as needed. Think there are 16 teams entered, there's a championship in it starting soon too. There's been a few concessions here and there but generally seems to run smoothly.

Mickey didn't step aside against Glen when he was Slaughtneil manager. He'll be there.

Lads yis may just agree with Saffronaldo. Hes stated his opinion and is now digging in. Those 5 county titles in 6yrs and 3 ulsters or whatever it was, mean nothing in this mans book and they were/are in fact crap.

Not sure what your point is. They were shown up badly. The defensive and somewhat cynical style they employed can only get you so far. As they found out.

No they weren't, that is bullshit. They were admittedly well beaten by Corofin in 2014 but probably would have beaten Dr. Crokes in their second all Ireland final in 2016 but for an early red card.
In 2014 they beat Cavan Gaels, Clontibret and Omagh in Ulster and Austin Stacks in AISF.
In 2015 they lost to Scotstown by 3 points in Ulster.
In 2016 they beat Derrygonnelly, Killyclogher, Kilcoo in Ulster and St Vincents in AISF.
In 2017 they beat Kilcoo, Omagh, Kilcar and Cavan Gaels before losing to Nemo after extra time in AISF.
So, in those 4 years, the only teams to beat Slaughtneil were Corofin, Scotstown, Dr. Crokes and Nemo Rangers, and only Corofin beat them by more the 3 points. Hardly describe that as being 'shown up badly'.
Slaughtneil were probably the second best team in Ireland, after Corofin, in this period. They're probably past their peak now but still a very strong outfit.

Thanks for all the help.  There is very little out there regarding results like this, even on club pages etc.  Though I have to say the most comprehensive list of results for any club that I have checked so far is Watty Grahams.  They have results from games going back to 2009 - including date, opposition, venue, scoreline, competition.  This includes underage and camogie fixtures as well.  Whereas most clubs haven't retained an individual website and just moved everything to social media (facebook, twitter, Instagram etc), they seem to have maintained an excellent website.

Back to the minor finals:

For 2010 to 2019, I have the two finalists, scorelines and venues.
For 2000 to 2009, I have all the winners, I have the finalists and scorelines for 2004-2007 inclusive.  I have the finalists for 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2009.  I've the venue for the 2005 final. I'm missing the rest of the scorelines and the finalists in 2002 and 2008 – Ballinderry won both.
For 1990 to 1999, I have all the winners and most of the finalists.  Missing the defeated teams from
1990 – Dungiven won
1991 – Bellaghy won
1993 – Loup won
1995 – Loup won
1996 – Ballinderry won - beat Dungiven, don't know score or venue
Don't have any of the scorelines or venues.
So far I've only gone as far back as 1987 and I have the winners and finalists from '87 to '89.

Whats going on at dungiven and glenullin? Both looking likely of relegation.

Is next year back to meaning if you are in intermediate league you are in that chamionship also?

Pretty sure it's the 10 surviving Div 1A teams + 2 relegated teams + 2 promoted teams in senior championship 2020
