Quote from: tonto1888 on October 02, 2026, 12:38:56 PMinteresting to see who picks up who
McCarthy on Rian
Heffron on Oisin
Owens on Cian
Not sure who picks up the youngest ONeill

For cross, who picks up magee/turbo/TK?
[/quote
Miceal O'Se possibly? That could free up McCambridge to play in middle 8 and put Cross on backfoot.

McCarthy generally seems to go after Rian and they know eachother from St Colman's days.

Good to see a novel pairing in senior final after years of dominance from Kilcoo.

Quote from: JimStynes on September 21, 2026, 01:34:21 PMArne Slot and Eddie Howe lying up in the house doing nothing. Who'd want the Celtic job now though.
Slot was on over 6 million salary at Liverpool doubt he's a realistic option. Eddie Howe will probably be in frame for most Premier League jobs if he wanted, don't see that being realistic either.

Is Kieran McKenna the most viable target, has had success and developed players working with a shoestring budget which appears to be what current board are about?

Great see Rian o Neill back in black and amber last night. Cross v Clan na Gael is a brilliant knock out tie next weekend. Serious momentum for whoever gets through.

Quote from: GTP on August 21, 2026, 06:28:11 PMMan Utd would do well to go out of the extended league format in Champions League before the knockout stage.
Savinho looks very overpriced as does Anderson at Man City.
Arsenal still lack a goalscorer to dig them out of a hole and draws may cost them this season.
Haaland could win it on his own for Man City as the only consistent scorer in the league.
No idea who will win it.
Hopefully a sensible application of the rules by refs, grappling at corners may be ugly to some but constant frees, VAR reviews and refs telling people not to touch each other isn't any more attractive.
Arsenal are clear favourites in my eyes. Improved the defence further, midfield and Tzolis looks to be better option than Martinelli and Trossard.

Quote from: lurganblue on August 19, 2026, 02:06:44 PMMassive overhaul for Villa this summer.  It looks like Konsa is now going to Arsenal.  Watkins could well leave for Saudi and Martinez is one foot out the door and a new No1 already in. Add that to Rogers, Digne and Tielemans who have already exited.

If Emery manages to get this new squad to a top 5 finish it will be some job.

If all this happens and playing champions league do we'll make top half.

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on August 08, 2026, 11:45:50 AMMore to the point, why do these people support these UK teams. not go out an watch their local soccer teams or support the main soccer team in their county? Is it because these uk games are on at weekends and 2/3 tmes in a week and can be watched from home or in the pub?
Same as Cheltenham. It's a weekend away on the beer.

Most Irish daytrippers know hee haw about soccer. It's a jolly boys outing

If they were really going for the jolly it's a very expensive way of doing so.

Quote from: brokencrossbar1 on July 24, 2026, 09:48:58 AMWe had no rivals ....just pretenders to the throne....

Hopefully Tyrone can secure promotion
Quote from: ONeill on July 24, 2026, 12:06:21 PMLouth are your rivals and will continue to be on your slow and painful descent down the leagues.

I think BC1 was referring to Crossmaglen not Armagh.

While I don't expect Armagh to win all Ireland in next couple of years would still expect to be in division one /top end division 2 while Geezer is there and not flirting with the Tailteann Cup.

Quote from: tonto1888 on July 23, 2026, 08:06:49 AMClann Eireann Clan na Gael
Armagh Down. Special mention to Armagh/Tyrone from the 00s and Dublin Mayo also
Argentina v everybody
Boca/River Plate
State of Origin
Lakers/Celtics
Ward/Gati

I always thought St.Peters and Clan Na Gael was the big Lurgan rivalry. I know Clann Eireann and Clan Na Gael have met a few times in the past couple years in championship but not a big rivalry at this stage for me. This may come in time as both done great work at underage in recent times.

Really enjoyed the Tyrone/Armagh rivalry in naughties proper hatred towards one another.

Dromintee/Cross in Armagh around that time was good rivalry in around that time Dromintee had great side but unfortunately ran into a machine, in any other era would got a couple of championships and would gave Ulster a good rattle.

Clonoe/Coalisland in Tyrone always feisty.
