How in the name of God did that Meath team get to an AI semi final? It shows their results against Kerry, Dublin and Galway were flukes.
Woeful stuff.

Meath mania has definitely returned. The guitars and keyboards are out and songs are being written (badly).
We haven't had some songs written about us for a while. 2015 was the last time I remember before the Leinster final I think.

Look at ose remarks yesterday. The Meath people knew what was coming. I have paid for my holiday out of bookies getting it so so wrong. The potential was there during league we saw it the 1000 odd people knew it was there. They had one bad game this year and unfortunately it was in Leinster final then they went out and blitzed dubs it was put down to oh Dublin had an off day. Went to Hyde and should have won but drew. Went and hammered Kerry and that was cause seemingly they were without players even though our on s missing was a bigger hindrance to us. So wrote off against Galway and now the same bs.Quote from: Dunneroyal on June 30, 2025, 02:08:35 PMQuote from: mup on June 30, 2025, 10:34:44 AMHard to see anything but a Donegal win here. Not surprising. Since you wrote the exact same thing when we played Kerry. And exactly the same thing before Galway match.
How do you think your own Kildare will do against limerick?
Whats your problem with me giving an opinion on a match. Most of the country would have given the same prediction as did most on here. Yet you only pull me up on it.
There is a thread for the Tailteann Cup elsewhere. This is for the AI semi final.
Meath are now a top 4 team without doubt and will only improve

Even if you grant that Dublin were poor and Kerry already through, does their display against Galway not buy them any credibility going into this match, especially having seen the number Monaghan did on Patton for the last 10 minutes of the first half?I have been at every Galway championship game this year apart from New York.
Genuinely, Roscommon at home was the only time we put in any semblance of a consistent performance & Roscommon were atrocious. If we somehow scraped through yesterday - ye would have beaten us out the gate.
The reality is Galway this year just weren't at it - so I wouldn't be judging any team on beating us.
Donegal are on a completely different level to the likes of Galway and Meath this year in my opinion.
This isn't sour grapes from yesterday either by the way - Meath more than deserved the win.

Quote from: Solo_run on June 27, 2025, 06:07:53 PMQuote from: mup on June 27, 2025, 04:55:20 PMI'm perplexed as to how people think Meath can beat Galway. Meath were beaten by an average Louth team. The worst Kildare team in living memory ran Louth close in the Leinster semi final. Meath beat below par Dublin and Kerry teams.
I just cannot see anything other than a Galway victory.
Derby games are difficult at the best of times. Down were a point off beating Armagh last year in Ulster.
Meath have beaten Dublin and comprehensively outplayed Kerry last time out. They definitely deserve their place
